This time with Melbourne based producer Hymns, known for his beautifully restrained, spacious electro, Superhexagon regular J. Wiltshire, crossing over into his own glistening take on modern dubstep, Schloss Records founder Karima F whose percussion and berserk melodies know no bounds and Perth-based artist Peter McAvan, upheaving all expectations with his surprising rhythms and syncopation. Diverse, yet of the same palette, this record paints a dreamy yet powerful picture.

[BTRY'063] JENNISEK - "POINT OF NO RETURN" [2019]


Elias Pavlidis aka. Jennisek is a Greek/Palestinian producer who works preferably with modular synthesizers to produce his music.

Mainly inspired by Cyberpunk, futurism and hard Sci-Fi, he incorporates such elements into his music and gives the listener a vicarious experience of a futuristic dystopia trough it.

The Athens based producer is a computer engineer/programmer by profession and this has been combined together with his passion for electronic music. Because of this he had done 2 performances at major festivals, CTM (Berlin) and Unsound (Krakow), as part of music and technology oriented workshops.

Now he has teamed up with "Battery Park Studio" to drop his first release ever in the underground Electro scene. You will dive into a 6 track journey full of modular synthesis and futuristic electro beats.

POINT OF NO RETURN

[BTRY'063] JENNISEK - "POINT OF NO RETURN" (PREVIEW) [2019]

The date was the 30th of February 3030 and the sun was setting on Geneva. The air was thick, filled with ash from an impact that has radically modified the scenery. At the surface of the Rhône, jellyfish were adjusting their perceptronic implants in order to map out this sudden modification of their environment that had become the largest crater in the history of the Jonction area. The trail of debris ran from the junction of the Rhône and Arve rivers right up to the legendary derelict factory called formerly called l’Usine, which used to be a centre for alternative arts, culture and live music.
Terrified by the deafening crash of the astral body into the millennia-old building, humanoids and robots alike flocked to the smoking hole that seemed to lead straight to purgatory. Among the curious crowd, Burd Bibendaze, Salt Lake City’s infamous astral body impactology in fresh water environments specialist. Burd had been in town for a thousand years by now, still studying the hybrids created by the impact of the last asteroid to hit Geneva’s lake region in the early 21st century.
As Burd was still trying to fathom his luck at witnessing a second impact in such a short space of time, he saw something move in the gaping hole beneath him. A relatively small, half slug-like, half humanoid being was floating it’s way up out of the hole. The creature had a mask in the shape the like of which Burd had only seen in history books, as if there really was a life-form that fit the 21st century human’s idea of what an extra-terrestrial.
As the automated security forces rushed to the unkown creature, it waved them aside with a deft movement, stopping them mid-air with a power beyond Burd or any of the onlooker’s comprehension. The creature stopped and looked straight through Burd’s eyes and into his soul. “Hello Burd”, came a voice in his head, “My name’s Brian”.
