I was inspired to write this song after I was FB stalking my work crush (don't judge me). An old post of her's had the quote paraphrased from a Paramore song "I could follow you to the beginning and just re-live the start, maybe then we'll remember to slow down to all of our favorite parts". So I felt I needed to continue that theme of following her to the middle and end, conveying the tight rope we all walk between love and heartbreak and how one decision, one moment can turn the needle either which way.
