Anna Unusyan is a music producer and a DJ who lives in London. Being brought up with a huge influence of punk-rock music Anna has started exploring techno scene in the late teen years shortly after moving to London. Inspired by original rhythmic textures and brooding style of London Underground scene on top of the process of music production and sound engineering, Anna has quickly immersed herself into crafting her own sound that can be labelled as dynamic and bass-driven techno. Being determined to showcase her own productions to the scene, Anna has started carving her path into the electronic music industry by constantly delivering original sound that spans from jacking to heavy bouncing techno grooves at local clubs. Following a stream of successful events at iconic nightclubs such as Egg London and Ministry of Sound, Anna has become a resident of London brand Till Last Track. While she maintains regular gigs in London, Anna has started expanding her geographic by making stops around Europe. 2018 has seen Anna appearing at two Sonar OFF sessions in Barcelona as well as making a Berlin debut by playing an extended set at Suicide Circus. Same year Anna has secured her debut release with Starskream Records. Since then, Anna has been appearing on various imprints with records containing heavy thump and hypnotic textures.

Producing under the alias Psybody with music partner Jason Peters, and launching the Psychcibody label this year they continue in their powerful underground career, which beautifully resists a fixed identity.  An artist on Awesome Agency’s roster, resident of Making Shapes events and founder of 'The Yard' warehouse, _mr_ jenifer continues to build upon the foundation of being a queer artist, seasoned DJ, event producer, label manager, activist and community builder—roles that have solidified Mr. Jenifer as a cornerstone of the dance music community in LA and beyond. 

Whether invested in moving people into deep states through psychedelic tracks, subverting expectation with electro and break-driven rhythms, or igniting high BPM dance floors through trancey jacking techno house and more, Mr. Jenifer is a master of symbiosis - the relationship between DJ and mover. In an atmosphere that wasn’t always as inclusive as it is now, _mr_jenifer has survived and thrived for three decades in what became a male, hetero-dominated industry. Their journey has rippled beyond California and the US—and has helped clear a path for emerging queer and gender non-conforming artists today.

Essex Rascals on Totally Wired Radio 31/08/22

Hailing from Germany’s leafy heartland via Leipzig, Nadine Moser has found a spiritual home in Berlin for the last 12 years. The capital has provided space for her to flourish as an artist whose work focuses on both the exploration of new sounds, as well as a political energy so key to the city. From here, she coordinates a schedule which includes residencies at left-leaning haunts Pudel (Hamburg), Paloma and ://about blank, as well as a radio show on Refuge Worldwide and mentorship of women and non-binary artists for Spoon DJ Workspace. For the music itself, she has a preference for deep, organic sounds, subtle build up and introvert melodies (worth noting here is ambient side project M2N2). Rarely will she release cuts from a live set, which makes Bassiani Podcast 153 a lucky exception. If you do want to count your blessings though, this is number two in the Podcast series: a 138 minute mix from her last visit to the club, packed with shuffling basslines, ethereal synths and libertine energy, lovingly dedicated to the Horoom crowd. Resom’s techno return to grassroots.

Zen polymath Sebastien Mullaert’s project Circle of Live marshals a raft of diverse global talents for ‘free-flowing collaborative jam sessions in clubs around the world’. This time round it brought together the Swedish musician himself, plus Spazio Disponibile gaffer Neel and the moody soundscapes of German techno-pundit VRIL as part of their ongoing collaboration. What’s clear for anyone following these three trajectories: the trio couldn’t be more perfectly aligned, their occult compositions are bound by a set of influences that border on the metaphysical. The music itself: meditative, deep, ruminant and transformative. Textured layer upon layer, these preternatural melodies and jerking beats are sublime astral audio from another dimension: Bassiani Podcast 170 is a freeform and mind-expanding journey through uncharted waters recorded live at the club back in December.
