Born and raised in Italy, Alfredo Mazzilli, approaches the world of music very early. His first passion is the guitar but, with time, his penchant for electronic music becomes increasingly clear.He shows an extremely versatile nature, as well as his desire to experiment with different genres, not giving up, however, to a consistency that leads him to range in the vast musical landscape, while remaining true to his style that favors ambient and techno sounds.

Born in Venezuela but lost in Buenos Aires, Michel Lauriola has a profound, deep, yet rhythmic sound both in his DJ sets and productions. Having edited on labels like Credo, Animal Farm and Newrhytmic, last year his track ‘Shadow Movements’ was included in Polegroup’s very own compilation series: Unknown Landscapes. Recently he also released on Insolate’s Out Of Place label for a Various Artist compilation, so keep an eye on him during the next months. A true institution in his hometown Buenos Aires and known for his All Night Long formats, he has an upcoming gig which will have him doing live, vinyl and cdjs sets all in the same night in Cocoliche, together with more dates and an European tour during the second half of 2019.

Italy's Hertz Collision steps up for this week's Guest Mix

Hertz Collision is a duo formed by Francesco Profeti and Pietro Franchini. They began to collaborate in 2009 due to their musical taste, and then began releasing music from 2014 on labels like Tono Limited, Serial Number 849, Concrete Music, and Dynamic Reﬂection. The duo was invited to Strasbourg by Munfaktur Crew to play next to Johanna Knutsson in 2015. Hertz Collision also played in Valencia and Naples. In 2016 they got the chance to release on Invite's Choice Records next to Wrong Assessment and Savas Pascalidis. They have gone on to release on Percistence, Uncage records, and on a digital V/A for PoleGroup. 

This was followed up by performing at the ADE 2017 Dynamic Reﬂection showcase at Radion, and a second digital EP on the label with a massive remix from Stranger, as well as theirﬁrst complete EP on the well-known underground label called Frozen Border. 

Their set are characterized by a deep and impressive knowledge of the worldwide techno movement, by driving rhythms and powerful techno.

Droughtwerk is Berlin-based combination of artist and label.

From dub techno to deep melodic sounds mixed with percussive grooves, Droughtwerk approaches music production with the goal of remaining timeless, soaking in the influences of a city that simply lives and breaths techno.

Droughtwerk was basically two longtime friends that met in the scene ages ago. Always interested in each other's sound, checking out what the other one is up to at the moment. A couple of years ago they began to work together on some little projects, "it felt good right away“, that’s what they say today about that chapter. Somehow, sometime later, Droughtwerk was born. Lots of meetings in the studio followed, making music, having a lot of fun while just talking ideas about the future. Always evolving and developing new soundscapes to get deeper and deeper into the genre. After the first two EPs, one half of Droughtwerk decided to spend more time with his kids and works, since that decision, in the background of the project. Since 2020 the "DROUGHTWERK“ label is making itself known, focused on fully analog produced 4 track EPs pressed on vinyl.

With releases in different labels, his home is ATD Records, a self-release label with a 100% Made in Portugal concept. Known for fast paced, dark and somewhat distorted rhythms this energetic and charismatic Dj is huge fan of hardware synthesizers, FXs, drum machines, Eurorack and his studio is own sanctuary of creation. Gustavo place emphasis on all crevices of the electronic music spectrum, which is r eflected on side pr ojects doing ambient and dr one music and the sets he pieces together from his sound collection.
A Thousand Details has fast become recognized as a seasoned digger having the opportunity of playing throughout Portugal and at most of the major clubs in Porto such us GARE, Plano B as well as Neopop festival.
