Nordic surroundings, vibrant seasons, and strong elements influences the Stockholm (Berlin) based artist Alnö.

Captured by the underground scene of Sweden, first as techno blogger and holder of Gbgtechno, the passion for electronic music brought Alnö to start Dj-ing and moved to Berlin in 2017. Becoming a resident of the techno collective Zement, Alnö got the opportunity to form her own sound and play at underground events in Germany and Sweden.

Alnö expresses the sounds of deep, dark and hypnotic techno and her well composed, dynamic sets of evolving and driving soundscapes, powerful beats, and atmospheric rhythms, brings the listener to discover new energies and spheres of sounds.

Alnö combines her artistic side as the founder and curator of the Berlin based event series Deep x Heights, focusing on connecting upcoming and established artists together by creating a platform for them to interact, grow and explore their own unique sound.

Dark, deep and hypnotic techno soundscapes, that's what you can expect from the 286th Global Vibe Radio episode featuring Justine Perry.

Justine Perry is a Berlin-based techno DJ. Attracted by the Berlin club scene, her sets are influenced by dark and deep techno, bringing the public to a hypnotic experience. Setting up in Berlin, she starting her collaboration with new artistic projects like Art Bei Ton and helped those events to feature more female artists.

As part of the LGBT+ community, Justine embraces the need of getting a more safe and diverse scene, involving more women and queer artists, as well as fighting against any form of discrimination.

Established herself in Europe, she played in prestigious venues, such as Rex Club in Paris, Khidi in Tbilisi, Griessmühle, or Tresor in Berlin, as well as some festivals, like Forte Festival in Portugal and soon Instytut Festival in Poland. Her work has allowed her to perform alongside renowned artists such as Peter Van Hoesen, Luigi Tozzi, Blazej Malinowski, Claudio PRC, Lotus Eater (Lucy & Rrose), Hemka, and more.

She performed at the finest European radio stations like Red Light Radio, Hoer Berlin, Rinse FM or Clubbing TV.

In 2020, in collaboration with Petit Astronaute, Justine Perry released her first track "Swell" out on DNC Limited.

In 2021, she released a track "All of a Sudden" for a various compilation on Het Records in vinyl and digital.

Deep Space Helsinki - 22nd February 2022

Where past episodes have screamed, this one whispers. Albeit based in Berlin, Claudio PRC’s sound recalls the heavily meditative braindance so abundantly exported from his Italian homeland this past decade. Call it something in the air, or water, the current is there; his particular brand of italo-techno though, borrows from early influences in Detroit and Musique Concrète to intelligently craft a mesh of textures, vibrations and sparing melody that frequently darts through the abyss and across the fourth wall. Need proof? Bassiani Podcast 114 is it. And for those whose curiosity for his work doesn’t end here, check out his output via 012, his collaborative platform for experimentations in art and sound.

Both as a DJ and a producer, Patrick Gräser aka Answer Code Request has honed a hybrid musical approach that stands out in a world of uniform 4/4 techno. Melding pad-driven harmonies, intricate breaks and an industrial sonic palette, Gräser has occupied a unique space within the Ostgut Ton cosmos since debuting on the label in 2012 and becoming a Berghain resident shortly thereafter. His various releases and remixes for Ostgut Ton, MDR, Dolly Deluxe and Monkeytown Records continue to be highly sought after. As a DJ, he has taken his bass- and breaks-heavy techno to clubs and festivals around the globe, while remaining an integral part of the Berlin scene.

Having firmly established herself as a staple on the underground techno scene in her home-town of Moscow back in the mid-2000’s, Mary Yuzovskaya picked up her record bag and relocated to Berlin, where she soon become a regular fixture at clubs such as ;//about blank, Tresor and minimal bar.   As a result of Mary’s artisan-like approach to the craft of DJing vinyl-only techno, she soon earned herself a reputation in Berlin as one of the most professional DJ’s playing the techno circuit. 

Now based in New York city since 2013, Mary’s habit of engraining herself in city scenes holds true; the move across the pond has seen her work as a vinyl distribution manager at renowned Brooklyn-based record shop Halcyon, launch her imprint ‘Monday Off’, and hold down a residency at NYC institution Public Records. 

It’s been a while since the FH mix series was taken into territories that of darker tones, and we’re most grateful the responsibility has fallen into the trusted hands of someone so capable.

Colombian techno producer, DJ and Northallsen Records label boss Aleja Sanchez unleashes her techno sounds for this week's Global Vibe Radio.

Born in Bogota, Colombia, Aleja Sanchez has been active in the techno scene since 2007. A mental and deep but forceful sound combined with a natural penchant for experimental and diverse soundscapes with raw lines have laid the foundations for her to develop a highly unique musical voice into the International techno circuit. Currently, Aleja Sanchez is considered “one of the Colombian scene's biggest international exports” according to Resident Advisor, 2019.

The aesthetic applies to her DJ sets explains why she has been invited to direct the booths in places like Tresor.Berlin (Germany), Stardust (Spain), Razzmatazz (Spain), Perpetum (Czech Republic), Flex (Austria), Sound Department (Italy), Liquid Club (Malta), Dissident (Russia), Khidi (Georgia) among others.

In 2018, Sanchez was invited by Boiler Room to be part of the famous streaming in its first version in Medellin, Colombia. In the same year she was invited to participate as panellist at Bogotá 24/7, an event organized by Resident Advisor in seven cities around the world.

As a producer, Aleja Sanchez is the label head of Northallsen Records and contributor to Affin, Attic Music, Planet Rhythm, Illegal Alien among many other illustrious techno labels on both sides of the Atlantic. With an experimental, hypnotic and fused techno sound and a gentle and melancholic ambient side, she reveals her stylized and unique sound.

Deepness, quality and versatility are characteristics of Aleja Sanchez, an artist who always strives to create a unique dialogue between the environment, techno and experimental electronics, carefully curated and skillfully organized in a unique and sonorous landscape both in the studio and behind the decks.

Paula Koski has carved out a niche for herself with a multifaceted sound that ranges from ambient to experimental to richly layered, dark, hypnotic and mental techno. The sense of aesthetics and composition remains throughout Black Wave podcast no. 033 from Paula Koski.

New dawn erupts with all but just a gentle kiss of a rising sun. Observed by the ancestors this ritual of sorts, an infinite exchange between night and day is just the same as it always were. A calling to focus inward, on the island that you are. Alone in the vast ocean with waves crushing in perfect sync with an esoteric chant. Mo’ai is silently watching over, from past lives to the present ones, with the spirit world not far behind.
