Following on from the last DEXT Limited release by Otik & Dead Mans Chest we’re kicking off 2019 in fine style with another limited 10” Vinyl cut with the same ethos as the previous release’s , 1 rave banger with a killer remix on the flipside. This time we have invited Glasgow's party starter and long-time label supporter Nightwave to join the crew and it seems like she has been here all along.
Psychic Tonic is exactly what we are all about rolling breakbeats and thunderous kick drums and is the perfect addition to the DEXT LTD series. And if that's not enough, another of our favourites Jerome Hill (Super Rhythm Trax) comes along for the ride, and flips it totally on its head on the remix.

Taking a brief hiatus from releasing on his own label, DJ Godfather hands over the production reigns to Plus Size Models for the next EP on Databass.

Detroit’s Plus Size Models (a.k.a. Chris Sutton) describes himself as Ghetto Booty lovin’ – House jacking – Techno pushing – Bass Lover, which he’s proven through his DJ sets over the last 18 years, and much more recently via releases on labels like Dirtybird (where he made his track debut in 2019) and Spoon Fed Records (earlier this year).

Delivering a fresh take on the Jit sound, with boundless energy, the EP opens with ‘Fort Street Jit’ before the quirky ‘Cork Town’. Meanwhile the other two tracks ‘Slipping’ and ‘The Jam’ head further into ghettotech territory with a techno twist.

Premiere: Plus Size Models "Slipping" - Databass Records

Sentient aka Madhav Jolly might be a newcomer, but his music can hardly be categorized as such. The Bangalore-based 22-year old has bestowed upon us 4+1 legitimate bangers to kick-off 2021.

Madhav has had a busy 2020 too and has jumped into the new year with the same energy. He has released 3 EPs autonomously, all supported by his independent label Acid Dream Records and has had his tracks featured on Filth Inc and HATE labs.

With his new release on Antariksh Records, Madhav intelligently navigates between Trance, EBM, Rave, and Jungle/ Breakbeat universes. For a dedicated dance floor enthusiast, Madhav's beats can bring back some good memories with a contemporary flavor of madness.
