PTTRN follow up strong releases on labels like MindTrip and Float with a first high energy offering for @tokenrecords. The record also marks Mike Parker’s first outing on the label with a stunning remix in his inimitable style.

A natural fit for Token, the Belgian duo serve up a neat package of rolling contemporary Techno - driven but dynamic and broad in terms of tone. The production is decidedly refined and riffs on the classic posits of the genre, making the very most of very little.

Opener Disappear 1 sets the scene: immediate, metallic material for the dance-floor and Disappear 2 doesn’t let the energy dip - a slice of pure peak time Techno executed with considerable deftness. Closing out the A side, Disappear 3 opens things up, a marginally more airy take on the same dense, rhythmic work. 

On the B side Disappear 4 goes deeper and more hypnotic but doesn’t lose the energy that defines the record before segueing into Parker’s remix - a powerful dose of the classic sound that has made the artist one of the true mainstays of the genre.

Sporadically producing. Releases falling somewhere between techno and house. Currently working with two aliases: Exploiting trip-hop vibes as 313 Cinema and rewriting Detroit techno as part of Prosthetic Hands (with Joshua Harrison). Vinyl and digital releases and remixes on Planet E, Faith Beat, Beretta Grey, Cryovac, Motech, Out Of The Box, Ferris Park, Thoughtless Music, Detroit Underground, maybe a few more.

mārū aka Frederick Sexton is a Naarm/Melbourne based Techno artist. He is one half of the duo Concealed a project which started in 2017 with long time friend Anis Aziz. Frederick has been making various moves around the Melbourne club night over the last few years. His style varies from the deeper cosmic and psychedelic sound scapes, usually on the heavier side with recurring dark undertones. 
Having already supported SNTS, Hydrangea, FJAAK, SPFDJ, Obekt and Function to name a few. Whilst  frequently playing guest slots as well as being a regular for the Bunker and Konnekt’d parties.

Origins, the third album by The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara, is out now.

The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS), a UK-based duo featuring Daphne Ang (Singapore) and Andrea Papi (Italy), emerged in London in early 2020. Their debut album, Full Spectrum, established their innovative fusion of poetry performance and heavy music, creating a unique form of expression that has become synonymous with TCOMAS.
TCOMAS's sophomore album, Trust No Leaders, released on July 1, 2022, explores the history of metal, paying tribute to various subgenres. Set against orchestral and cinematic landscapes, the songs also incorporate non-Western musical influences. The lyrics draw inspiration from contemporary and classical poetry, as well as Jungian psychology.
