DJ, Producer and Curator of Hidden Recordings, Deepak Sharma has been entrenched in techno for over a decade. Tough, raw and gritty describe the man, his music and label.

Perseverance is another word synonymous with Deepak Sharma; an unrelenting passion for music and sharing his sound through a belief so intense, his soul pours out and bears itself within each release and DJ set.

Known for a cerebral approach to music, he demonstrates his ethos that DJing is about creating a moment, often through taking crowds on a hypnotic journey and building energy, with a room as one towards a higher peak.

While DJing is his calling, his label can also be described as going strong with demand growing through each carefully curated offering, slowly and steadily building a catalog greater than most: the rare feat of longevity, forty-one releases and counting.

Now, Deepak Sharma is fully engaged as a soloist, bursting at the seams with an active imagination, overflowing with ideas and constantly learning, leading to an ambitious release schedule in the future.

Rubidium is a DJ and producer based in Oakland, California. She is a resident, promoter and founder of the Konstruct monthly party in San Francisco.

Rubidium’s current take on techno is heavy and dense. Her sound can vary from driving to hypnotic, experimental to atmospheric, with an occasional dip into an ambient realm. She is fond of tension, creative sound design and exploring darker themes in her sets. Her tracks can be found on the From 0-1, Webuildmachines, Subspec and Anode labels, with more on the way.

6AM Guest Mix: Rubidium

Based in Cracow/Poland, born in Greece is a music producer and DJ, who is fast becoming one of Techno's most exciting breakthrough artists originating from Eastern Europe. One can recognize DEAS' Greek origins and East European upbringing in his music, where enthusiasm and fantasy blends in varying shades of Techno. 

He believes that music "is never a subject to stereotypes and clichés". This allows him to think freely and create music without boundaries, in which psychedelics and raw, heavy Techno is balanced to perfection with memorable, warm but yet deep melodies.

Not yet 30, he has been mastering his production skills for a decade. During this time he developed an impressive studio where most of his music is recorded live. His hard work is presently coming into a full effect with the releases of a number of labels ranging from Pan-Pot's Second State, through Planet Rhythm, Bush Records, OFF Recordings to Kevin Sanderson's KMS Records. Deas is also a highly sought-after remixer with previous works done for such legends like Carl Cox or Inner City.

His productions received great feedback and are strongly endorsed by  Pan-Pot, Ilario Alicante, Kangding Ray, Kevin Sanderson to name just a few. DEAS's music is also featured and supported by such music magazines as Mixmag, Dj Mag, Big Shot Magazine, Decoded Magazine, Magnetic Magazine, Datatransmission and so on.

It is not that often you see such broadly developed artist, like Karol, who is equally skilled in the production studio and behind the decks. He already holds 2 residencies in Poland premier venues, Smolna since 2017 and Prozak 2.0 (since 2012). He has recently appeared among others twice in Berlin and also at the Amsterdam Dance Event. This artist regularly marks his presence at the largest Polish festivals like Open'er or Audioriver.

6AM Guest Mix: Lowki

Cocoon's Michael Klein joins the 6AM Guest Mix family with a one-hour studio mix straight from his home in Germany.

Dark but groovy basslines are what defines the unique sound of Michael Klein. Born in Frankfurt, the former techno capital of Germany, raised by the sounds of Cocoon and Robert Johnson, Michael quickly found his passion for gradually teasing and heavy grooves.

His releases reflect a wide range of sound from raw straightforward techno to groovy dubby sounds up to experimental and complex journeys through noises. Finding the "right" sound for the "right" moment is what makes Michael's production quality so multifaceted. His productions are recognized and supported by artists like Amelie Lens, Pan-Pot, Sven Väth, Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing and many more.

Michael is known for energetic and hypnotizing sets that combine strong programming and mixing skills. His powerful manipulative mixing style sets him apart as an artist and a DJ creating something unique for the very moment with the "right" sound that puts the crowd into euphoria and sweat.

Luca Draccar is a Berlin based with Italian roots, mainly devoted to shining techno and dark exotic rhythms. 

His sound blends dashed phrases and synthetic loop sequencing like a psychedelic cocktail on deep flavour. Slamming boiling sounds bend electronic minimal triggering style, with intricately programmed bass.

Dusty Kid has recently announced the re-issue of his well-known "A Raver’s Diary" album. First appearing in the early-00’s, Paolo Lodde aka Dusty Kid was championed as an electronic music prodigy. Releasing on a number of globally esteemed labels from Systematic, Bpitch Control and Mau5trap, he further garnered the support from international tastemakers such as Ritchie Hawtin which cemented his position as a young techno artist

On its initial release, A Raver’s Diary revealed the extraordinary talent of Dusty Kid, and his penchant for producing and championed his style of deep hypnotic productions. Classically trained and versatile in his output, his eclecticism has made his music timeless and is why the album has had a continued impact.

The audio has been made available on vinyl for the first time as of May 15th. Alongside the re-issue, listeners can expect remixes from Robert Babicz, Freedom Fighters, Eitan Reiter and Violinist Vito Gatto as well as new singles & B-sides.
