A long time coming, as my other remixes usually are...
I had a bit more planned with this song honestly, but my time at my home PC is running low. So, I dragged this swiftly out of iteration hell and got it done as soon as I could. Consider this my big contribution to my absolute favorite game and my personal favorite slugcat! Happy listening!

The KárdBored Soundtrack was composed for a simple web game made by iamthestoat, called KárdBored, back in 2022. As of recently, development on the game was, unfortunately (and unceremoniously) canceled before a proper demo was ever publicly released. Its gameplay was inspired heavily by Slay The Spire, and its art style by the first act of Inscryption. The game was made to look like an arts-&-crafts puppet show, with enemies and the player character being paper cutouts held up by sticks and strings, and the audio meant to sound like a series of audio tapes being played, rewound and played again. As of the time of writing, this album and its associated artwork are the only publicly released content to come out of this project. 

ABOUT THIS SONG:
A very, very simple ambience track, meant to be used for the death screen music. I probably could have done more with this honestly, but I think I made this around the point where I was starting to shrivel up creatively... at the least, I decided to toy around with trying to put potential bits of lore into the music tracks, so there's some reversed speech in here you can re-reverse to get a glimpse at what the potential storyline was gonna be about.

This is also the third instance of the heartbeat motif being used, and it is intertwined partly with what the reversed voice is saying.

(Since these were all made back in 2022, I apologize if the songs don't sound up to my usual standard.)
