Back Against the Wall is an outlaw-country record built on grit, scars, and resilience. It’s the story of holding on when the world tries to break you — of finding freedom in dirt roads, family, memory, and truth, even when the weight of survival presses hard.

The album opens with “Dirt Roads and Dogs”, a free-spirited escape into the country soul, before diving into the raw defiance of “Frankly, I Don’t Give a Damn.” Tracks like “Sunday Porchlight” and “The Sky Remembers” provide heart and reflection, anchoring the record in stories of grace and memory. “We Were Soldiers Too” serves as its haunting tribute, honoring sacrifice and courage with reverence.

Flying over an ancient temple

Most of the sounds here are sounds available from East-West.  I sing lead and backup vocals and play the lead guitar break on my PRS LE Tremonti.  Oh I also do the train whistle in the intro (with a Thomas & Friends Train whistle).

Riding the Train

Verse 1:
Passing by the world
Everything seems all furled

Not knowing what is going on 
in all of those places we pass
Watching out the window I’m drawn
Everything neat by class

There’s a house with some children playing
Then a church with some people praying

Setting in my seat

Another couple out with their dog
And a lady out for a jog

They announce my destination
I can see the tracks to the station

I gather get ready to exit
A nice little journey if I dissect it
