A nuanced instrumental exploration, where the essence of nostalgia and melancholy gently fuse in a comforting auditory experience. This track presents a thoughtful take on trip-hop, distinguished by its melodic depth and a harmonious blend of analogue, acoustic, and electronic elements.

Set at a reflective pace of 90 BPM, the foundation of the track is rooted in the characteristic beats of trip-hop – a laid-back, substantial rhythm paired with a deep, warm bass. Unlike conventional trip-hop that often relies on samples, this piece is driven by a rich tapestry of melodies, woven seamlessly by various instruments.

The sonic landscape is painted with a combination of acoustic and electronic textures. The beat, characterized by a fat, analogue feel, and a snare with a distinct 80s-style reverb, lays down a solid groove punctuated by electronic rolling sounds. The bassline, a fusion of upright and electronic bass, adds depth and warmth, while occasional e-bass licks introduce a human touch.

Melancholic yet hopeful, the track's chord progression is adorned with melodic embellishments from bell-like synth sounds, creating a sense of longing. This interplay of sounds is further enriched by a distorted melotron, reminiscent of a turntable scratch effect, which converses melodically with the synth bells.

As the track progresses, it introduces a simple yet expressive piano, engaging in a call-and-response with the bells and leading into climaxes marked by heartfelt string sections. These elements, along with a bridge featuring an intriguing electronic synth bass and the subtle inclusion of sensual, rhythmic female vocals, add layers of intrigue and emotion.

Concluding with a melancholic melody from an analogue lead and legato strings, the track offers an unpretentious outro, leaving the listener wrapped in a blanket of mellow nostalgia and comforting melancholy.

Antonio Zapata (Aggressive Pets) is a Spanish musician and bedroom producer who began his studies at the music school of Leganés and later at the Professional Music Conservatory of Getafe.

 Later he entered the school of modern music La Factoría where he received lessons from some musicians like Luis Cruz ( guitarist of the legendary Spanish rock band Topo).

After that he enrolled in CEV (Center for Video and Image Studies) he studied music production, live sound and radio with Nacho Legorburu (Dean in Spain at Audio Engineering Society).

 Antonio has played guitar and bass in several bands (Wildlovers, Sin un Duro, Criaturas Celestiales) and has produced several demos for local rock groups. 

He is currently working on his Aggressive Pets project, eclectic mix of styles created from his home studio, as well as creating soundtracks for short films ( he composed and performed the O.S.T. for the horror film Yuggoth, directed by Dani Lardon and produced by Arkham Contents,  Which can be viewed freely on YouTube).
