Fantastic Track! I love that you took a more intimate approach here instead of writing the standard epic massive style. Also great use of the full dynamic range (most demos just show mf - ff. I also tried to focus on the dynamics in the past when i made choir demos like the one for tarilontes mystica. Choir without dynamic is just ... weak. In general - to keep it short: Awesome. Your piece convinced me to purchase the SCII Complete library (even i already have lacrimosa, requiem pro, liberis, mystica. cantus, symphonic choirs and some other choral libraries). But once i heared your demo i knew i also neede this great tool :D All the best and keep up the great work!

11-15 Sample Library Review Demo Round Up Review

A year after my published album, CINEMATIC NATURE was released, I have decided to release a remastered version of the entire album. This is not because I was not happy with the original, but I felt it the sound was a little dark compared to my usual sound, so I aimed to bring it into line with all my other stuff. I also did it as a technical learning exercise.

MOUNTAIN MIST

The piece "Pine" is an attempt to convey the peaceful and contemplative atmosphere I experience when I walk in the woods. It's not so much about having a defined melody or complex harmony, but more about creating a mood and an atmosphere.

As with my previous recordings, I've used my Malmsjö piano from 1911 to bring this piece to life. However, this time, I've added some felt effects to create a slightly altered sound that fits the overall mood of the composition.

In this piece, I've used felt to soften some of the sharpness of the notes, creating a more subtle and delicate sound that blends well with the theme of the piece.

According to Zimmer, the soundtrack to Inception is "a very electronic score." Nolan asked Zimmer to compose and complete the score while he was shooting the film. The composer said, "He wanted to let my imagination run wild." At one point while composing the score, Zimmer incorporated a guitar sound reminiscent of Ennio Morricone and was interested in having Johnny Marr, former guitarist for the influential '80s rock band The Smiths, play those parts. Zimmer stated that he found a synthesizer track that he wrote similar to Marr's guitar style. Nolan agreed to Zimmer's suggestion, after which Zimmer approached Marr, who accepted his offer. Marr spent four 12-hour days working on the score, playing the notes Zimmer had written on a 12-string guitar.

For inspiration, Zimmer read Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid by Douglas Hofstadter because it combined "the idea of playfulness in mathematics and playfulness in music." Zimmer didn't put together a preliminary score, but "every once in a while they would call and say, 'We need a little something here.' But that was fine, because a lot of the music is not scene-specific. They fall into small categories." When Nolan wrote the script, he included Édith Piaf's "Non, je ne regrette rien," but almost took it out when he cast Marion Cotillard, who had just completed an Oscar-winning role as Piaf in the 2007 film La Vie en rose. Zimmer convinced Nolan to leave the song in the film and also incorporated elements of the song into his score; in particular, the film's iconic brass fanfare resembles a slowed-down version of the song's instrumentation.

Taking my cue from the oft-copied chords of the song "Time," I approached a daring blend of classical, natural instruments, electronic music, and house elements.
