We've been playing Antonello's tracks quite a lot in our guestmixes and it's an absolute honor to be able to featur him on our show today.
⁠
After a previous experience in the collective Spacedrome, of
which he was co- founder and after exploring the world of
bass music, published several Ep. and played in many Italian
cities, international festivals and some Berlin clubs, the
accumulated life experiences have led to a new artistic
reflection.
⁠
Deep sound and Techno are his new language that is the
foundation for a musical expression rich in ambient and
atmospheric elements that outline the storytelling. 

After the first year dedicated to presentations and to the recording of
dozens of podcasts in 2020 Save Your Atoll begins to release
its own productions, first with a single with strong influences
"Burial" then contributing to the compilation for the 10 years of
The Gods Planet with Mediterranea on TGP X and finally
publishing in January 2021 The Universal Pattern, an Ep. of
three self-produced tracks.

Based out of Los Angeles, Justin Nicoll’s sound emphasizes melodic elements fusing edgy, progressive, and driving basslines with deep and hypnotic rhythms.  Collectively, his sets merge techno, progressive house, and tribal genres with unique textures and curate a future forward sound while sprinkling in nostalgia along the way. Justin’s DJ sets are truly progressive in nature, and leads his crowd on a hedonistic yet emotional journey that keeps their bodies pumping and grooving all night. His DJ sets and music production draws inspiration from artists such as Sasha & John Digweed, John Creamer & Stephane K, Rick Pier O’Neil, ARTBAT, Oscar Mulero, and Rene Wise.

Justin began his journey DJing during the pandemic (2020), and fell in love with progressive house and techno after attending underground raves and Berlin’s techno scene. Since then he has played numerous and diverse events around the United States and abroad, including leather events, underground warehouse raves, circuit parties, tea dances, and pool parties.  Folsom (San Francisco), Los Angeles Leather Pride’s Off-Sunset Festival, Palm Springs Pride, The Cuff Seattle, and Brawny Bear Weekend (Puerto Vallarta). 

He has recurring gigs and performances for parties including TUFF, Masterbeat, GPS, Trophy Dad, The Eagle LA, MEAT RACK, Tom of Finland, Mantamar Beach Club (PVR) and underground warehouse events including SMD and ABUNDA. He has provided support for headlining artists such as PAGANO, Karsten Sollors, GSP, and Berghain/Panarama Bar resident Partok. His online podcasts and live DJ set recordings have accumulated just over 39,000 plays and listens since 2022 on SoundCloud.

“An unseen balance between light and darkness”

Scattering for many years between different underground music genres, this frequency collided with the techno soundscape in 2016, creating an outburst of energy.

Equipped with a rumbling, driving, and unseen dedication to his passion, his journey began...

After he took the Belgian MUSICASA producer’s education, as a first step to pursuing his dream, he quickly released EP's and remixes on melodic techno labels such as SMR Underground, Melodia Records, Tanzgemeinschaft, and Papaya music.

After releasing and performing on various stages, and through the process of producing and self-awareness, he felt the melodic techno genre wasn’t the perfect reflection of what inspired and drove him.

In 2022 he had a change of heart as he started focusing more on
underground hypnotic, atmospheric and ambient techno, reaching for that inner spirit and dynamic balance. This resulted in releases on some of the biggest labels in the hypnotic scene like DORIAN, The Gods Planet, BAHN, Khoros, Informa, Space Textures, Arcadia,... with many more on the way.

Host of the podcast ‘Adjust (BE) Invites’ (2020-2023), he invited numerous DJ’s and Producers to make a signature guest mix, where the DJ/producer is the key element.

For over 130 episodes spreading over 3 years and reaching new listeners each month, the fanbase and mutual respect between colleagues kept growing daily.

In 2023 he started a new and hypnotic/deep-techno-exclusive podcast called ‘Andhera’, which translates to ‘darkness’ in Sanskrit. With every Full Moon or Solar Eclipse, a talented and highly respected DJ/producer creates a unique story.

An artist, hand-picked by himself, whom he highly admires, respects and who empowers and understands techno’s dark, ambient and emotional side.⁠

His style of playing and producing can be described as a perfectly, yet delicate, carved out balance between light and darkness, melancholic and emotionally charged. Cinematic sounds, rich and full of atmospheres, super evocative soundscapes with an inexplicable soul that can only be grasped when fully immersed into it.
