Hey guys! Who’s up for a vinyl session this week? I invited Fabian Weiss to one of his vinyl sessions and he prepared a great minimalistic technoid mix. He is originally from Zürich but lives in Berlin since 2018. He is an experienced DJ and a fresh but eager producer, nowadays spending most of his time in his studio - not caring about the August sun this year.

Bio:
Fabian fell in love with Berlin as a young rave tourist, yet he moved there much later at the age of 29. The metropole having so much to offer, Fabian immediately got involved in lots of cultural activities (such as dance and standup comedy) so that he almost forgot why he came there in the first place : Techno.

It took a pandemic for him to finally seriously start investing in music, when he bought more professional equipment, started djing with vinyls and recently started to produce his own music.

As a DJ and collector, Fabian has explored many styles over time and also today, he will vary his style quite unobstructedly depending on the time you put him on the lineup. But his music always carries the signature of his taste for minimalistic, forward driving beats nourished with modular elements, often decorated with clean and subtle repetitive melodies - whether it is in Techno or in Tech House.

Also in his productions, he moves around Techno, keeping a rather clean sound usually known from Tech House, exploring the spectrum in between Techno and House where they merge or create tension. Stay tuned for his upcoming debut release „Desperate House Vibes EP“, which will be released by the end of 2022!

We've been playing Antonello's tracks quite a lot in our guestmixes and it's an absolute honor to be able to featur him on our show today.

After a previous experience in the collective Spacedrome, of
which he was co- founder and after exploring the world of
bass music, published several Ep. and played in many Italian
cities, international festivals and some Berlin clubs, the
accumulated life experiences have led to a new artistic
reflection.

Deep sound and Techno are his new language that is the
foundation for a musical expression rich in ambient and
atmospheric elements that outline the storytelling. 

After the first year dedicated to presentations and to the recording of
dozens of podcasts in 2020 Save Your Atoll begins to release
its own productions, first with a single with strong influences
"Burial" then contributing to the compilation for the 10 years of
The Gods Planet with Mediterranea on TGP X and finally
publishing in January 2021 The Universal Pattern, an Ep. of
three self-produced tracks.

Welcome to the WE ARE ONE Podcast Episode 168 with Michael Dietze(Deep Tone Rebel) from Leipzig, Germany!

MICHAEL DIETZE - DJ since 1991 (DJ Ditte)
Music with ♥ // Winner MDR Sputnik Turntable Days DJ Contest 2003. After a break of almost 7 years, Michael Dietze got back on the decks in the summer of 2016. While he was known to everyone in the 90s and the first half of the 2000s as "Ditte", who made a name for himself with minimal / techno sets not only in Germany, he acquired another style in the Crewe club Molen_Dyk (2003-2006) . He managed to inspire people with Deephouse and Melodic Deep Tech. He has perfected that to this day. Like hardly anyone else, he is able to always incorporate that certain something into his sets. You can tell from the brilliant mixing and track selection that there are almost 30 years of experience behind the decks. He makes music with his heart for the hearts and souls that he captures with “age-appropriate techno”. In 2003 he deservedly won the MDR Sputnik Turntable Days DJ Contest in front of 49 other DJs.

“An unseen balance between light and darkness”

Scattering for many years between different underground music genres, this frequency collided with the techno soundscape in 2016, creating an outburst of energy.

Equipped with a rumbling, driving, and unseen dedication to his passion, his journey began...

After he took the Belgian MUSICASA producer’s education, as a first step to pursuing his dream, he quickly released EP's and remixes on melodic techno labels such as SMR Underground, Melodia Records, Tanzgemeinschaft, and Papaya music.

After releasing and performing on various stages, and through the process of producing and self-awareness, he felt the melodic techno genre wasn’t the perfect reflection of what inspired and drove him.

In 2022 he had a change of heart as he started focusing more on
underground hypnotic, atmospheric and ambient techno, reaching for that inner spirit and dynamic balance. This resulted in releases on some of the biggest labels in the hypnotic scene like DORIAN, The Gods Planet, BAHN, Khoros, Informa, Space Textures, Arcadia,... with many more on the way.

Host of the podcast ‘Adjust (BE) Invites’ (2020-2023), he invited numerous DJ’s and Producers to make a signature guest mix, where the DJ/producer is the key element.

For over 130 episodes spreading over 3 years and reaching new listeners each month, the fanbase and mutual respect between colleagues kept growing daily.

In 2023 he started a new and hypnotic/deep-techno-exclusive podcast called ‘Andhera’, which translates to ‘darkness’ in Sanskrit. With every Full Moon or Solar Eclipse, a talented and highly respected DJ/producer creates a unique story.

An artist, hand-picked by himself, whom he highly admires, respects and who empowers and understands techno’s dark, ambient and emotional side.⁠

His style of playing and producing can be described as a perfectly, yet delicate, carved out balance between light and darkness, melancholic and emotionally charged. Cinematic sounds, rich and full of atmospheres, super evocative soundscapes with an inexplicable soul that can only be grasped when fully immersed into it.
