All sounds contained within are home-made/DIY recordings. Most songs are short stories, as I am influenced by Musicians & Writers like Raymond Carver, Warren Zevon, Mountain Goats, Tom Waits, Mark Eitzel,  Randy Newman, Destroyer, Steely Dan, Captain Beefheart, Loudon Wainwright III, Leonard Cohen & The National. A Falling Robin are UK group split between Wigan and Newcastle, via Belfast and Leeds, who write and record their own music. The nucleus of the band are the two main songwriters and singers, Rachel Darling and Robin d Bailey. A-chance meeting on Soundcloud after Robin heard Rachels original songs, and vice versa, resulted in a mutual respect and appreciation for each others sound and songwriting. A partnership that has now evolved into quite a unique sound with some very emotionally laden songs produced. We have been played on BBC Lancs, BBC Merseyside and BBC6 music. We suspect Kate Bush and Bob Dylan listen to us, however we know they would never say...

Deutscher Singer-Songwriter über fünfzig Jahre alt. Seit fast vierzig Jahren schreibe und singe ich Lieder. Mein Hauptinstrument ist die akustische Gitarre, aber ich mag auch Perkussionsinstrumente (Cajon, Maracas, Gurio). Ich liebe es, melancholische und poetische Balladen zu komponieren. Aber manchmal schreibe ich auch (schwarze) humorvolle Songs, Jazzstyle und -Rocksongs. Meine Hauptsprache ist Deutsch. Aber in Zukunft will ich mehr Songs auf Englisch und vereinzelt auch Französisch schreiben.
In meinen Kompositionen bin ich inspiriert von Leonard Cohen, John Lennon, Jacques Brel, Van Morrison und Bob Dylan. Auf meinen Platten spiele und singe ich alles alleine. Meine Vision für die Zukunft ist es, Musiker aus verschiedenen Kulturen zu finden, die gerne ihre Tracks mit mir teilen wollen.
Mein persönliches Mantra ist ein Satz, der von Paul Mccartney auf dem Beatles-Album "Abbey Road auf dem Track "In the end" vor fast Fünfzig Jahren geschrieben wurde:

Die Liebe, die Du bekommst ist gleich der Liebe, die Du gibst.

German singer-songwriter over fifty years old. For almost forty years I have been writing and singing songs. My main instrument is the acoustic guitar, but I also like percussion instruments (Cajon, Maracas, Gurio). I love composing melancholic and poetic ballads. But sometimes I also write (black) humorous songs, jazz style and rock songs. My main language is German. But in the future I want to write more songs in English and occasionally also in French.

Due to brexshit, broken britain, rip-off britain, corruption, lies and bias in the media, bigotry, racism, intolerance, polarisation, the fact that some of our family members would not be allowed to remain post-brexit, state-sponsored child trafficking (yes, that's right, we said it - it's pretty shocking, start reading from here if you don't believe it: https://forced-adoption.com/), an increasing sense of frustration and exasperation, and general total weariness of being treated with nothing but derision, ignorance and contempt by the entire shebang since the early 80s, we decided enough was enough and moved our entire operation from brexeter in the uk to begin our grand brexodus in 2017. We are now brefugees, living in brexile very near the border of the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany. If you live in (the crumbling remains of) the uk, do yourself a favour and leave. The upgrade in life quality will blow your mind.

* What do we stand for as a label?

We support all independent musicians who are doing something we find interesting. Our team members all have formal music education qualifications.

We are against corporate brainwash muzak, their puppet friends in the mass media, and many other corporate activities. We will fight their desecration of music until either it stops or we die. 

We believe in helping others in the face of corrupt laws and a broken system. We are pro democracy, green energy and free speech.

We're politically liberal. We cannot support the republicans, maga or gun violence in the usa. We don't see there's any real difference, other than in name, between the christian far right in the USA and the taliban in Afghanistan.

In the uk we are broadly pro LibDem/Green/Labour/SNP. We are VERY anti-tory, bnp, ukip, and any of their friends and associates. We have no trust at all in the uk right wing press monopoly and the bbc. Beware the bbc and its claims of neutrality. It is the propaganda mouthpiece of the tory party. It even charges a propaganda tax called the licence fee. But we like Test Match Special and Radio 6, so does that make us hypocrites...? Hmm.

We support independence for Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Cornwall. We support the individual and the underdog. We are anti-putin and his war, and pro-Ukraine.
