Unsere heutige Ausgabe kommt von den beiden Geschichtenerzählern aus dem hohen Norden Deutschlands, die hin und wieder zusammen eine wundervolle Symbiose eingehen. 

Ihre bisherigen Mixe als Duo sind schlichtweg wie aus einer anderen Welt. Sie ziehen den Hörer nämlich von Anfang an in den Bann und entführen einen ohne Umwege direkt ins Nirvanna. Was meinen wir damit? Hört rein! Ihr werdet es direkt merken. Der Opener… ❤️

Die bekannte Aussage, sich in der Musik verlieren zu können, trifft bei den beiden Faultieren eigentlich immer voll und ganz zu. Profitieren tuen sie definitiv von ihrem unnachahmlichen Track-picking und den samtig weichen Übergängen, die jedes einzelne Teilchen erst zu einem harmonischen Ganzen verschmelzen lassen. Wie ihr merkt, sind wir große Fans von ihrem Sound. Nicht umsonst fiebern wir jetzt schon einige Monate ihrer Interpretation der Afterhour entgegen, die wir euch heute endlich präsentieren dürfen. Und ja, es erwartet euch Großes… Versprochen.

✔️ Was sind eure musikalischen Einflüsse? 

Wir sind Beide von klein auf musikalisch durch unser Elternhaus geprägt.
Dazu legt éner seit knapp 20 Jahren Vinyl auf und Stelze spielt seit Klein auf Saxofon in verschieden Combos und ist mittlerweile seit 15 Jahren an den Decks.
Wir sind absolute Musik Fanten, etliche Künstler/innen und unterschiedlichste Musikstile prägten uns auf unserer Laufbahn. So viele , dass wir sie hier nicht alle benennen können.

✔️ Was macht eurer Meinung nach her eine gute Afterhour aus?

Freunde, Gemütlichkeit und Sets aus den Faultierdisko bzw Deep&Smooth Podcast Serien :)
….Außerdem, irgendwann ist auch mal Feierabend! Faultiere schlafen gern! :D

✔️ Welche Gedanken mögt ihr uns zu eurem Mix mit auf den Weg geben?

Wir erinnern uns gerne an die schönste Afterhour, die wir gemeinsam erlebt haben. Es war éners Geburtstag und wir spielten das Closing Set im Mensch Meier bei Mytic Creatures.
Eine Wahnsinns Stimmung, Sonnenlicht flutete den Floor, eine magisch Energy! Wir spielten das erste Mal b2b und merkten wie gut wir an den Decks harmonierten.
Auch unser Afterhour Sounds Set wurde von aus abwechselnd erlesenen Lieblings-Tracks b2b im Studio des JAZ e.V. Rostock abgemischt.

Bei dieser Spezialausgabe des KataHaifisch Podcasts handelt es sich um ein Live Set von einer "46 Katzen Tanzen Auf‘m Tisch"  🐈‍⬛ aus dem Kater Blau. Schöpfer dieses musikalischen Meisterwerks ist das Künstlerduo thea & schtu. Seit 2020 musizieren und produzieren die beiden gemeinsam Musik unter dem Credo „slow & with love“. At the Zugvögel Festival, Malü and Adlip delivered a musical highlight that deeply moved the audience, capturing the special magic of the evening.

After Adlip's impressive after-hour set last year, which left a lasting impression on Malü, the two artists had a chance encounter on the dance floor this year, leading to a spontaneous and powerful collaboration. ✔️What are your musical influences? What is your musical background?

I grew up in Paris suburb and it had an impact on my early influences, as I grew up listening mostly to reggae and to french hip hop. These were all my first concerts and ‘in-repeat’ albums, with artists like Lunatic, Salif, Steel pulse or Groundation.
My first closer connection to club music was then with the electronica and minimal house scene in Paris with artists like RPR Soundsystem, Cabanne, Bonobo or Traumprinz . Only later around 2015 I discovered the slower and deeper Berlin sound with firstly artists like Mira, Chris, and then Wide awake or Arutani.
Those are few of my influences throughout the years and artists that have inspired me and had a big impact on the music I am doing now. 

✔️ What makes good “afterhour”?

After hours can have a very unique energy, some sort of magic in the air, a shared energy of kindness and sensitivity. 
At this time, I feel that music becomes an even more important element of the party. People are more open to feel, and to connect deeper with the music.   
It can also be an invitation for the DJ to play a more mental and elegant selection, music with more soul and surprises. 

✔️ Do you have any thoughts you would like to share about your set?

This is a set I played at a label showcase with Crépite., a beautiful summer afternoon at a great outdoor location in East Berlin, the gART.n. 
When I play in a Crépite. showcase, I tend to select music that also represents well the sound from the label as I feel it is important that our signature sound is represented in those events, and that we are the first ambassador. 
This set represents well the brighter side of the Crépite. sound somewhere between elegance, minimalism, deepness and obviously crackling textures :) 
A lot of my favorite tracks of the last few months. 
The set also contains loads of my own field recording samples, which is the direction my DJ sets are taking, an organic hybrid direction with field recordings from nature.

It is early morning, after a great @dualism -and a super long hypnotic @g-e-j-u set- at wonderful @lushplay in Zürich, when their effects still echoes through the mixer and their vibe still mesmerizing dancers in the morning dust, zijn had the special pleasure to catch up the vibe and play the energy to an interstellar journey and back down to earth :) ... 🪐
It was a crazy night to play and to have such lovely people brought together in one place through music & emotions is magic 💜
