AGLAYA RICAUX is a songwriter, composer, singer & rapper of German, Russian, Ukrainian & Estonian descent, who is based in Berlin. Ricaux stems from a musical family, as she is the third generation to practice music. She graduated Humboldt-University with a Master’s degree in Education & a Bachelor’s degree in German & English Literature & Linguistics, which she taught for several years. 
Ricaux thrives when she explores different topics, questions & moods musically & loves to dive into other cultures. She considers herself a bridge builder in the cultural sense, as she believes that music & art in general can serve as a medium for cultural exchange & the building of a peaceful & positive social environment. By incorporating music in multiple languages & genres she aims to foster understanding & connection between communities. 
Thus, her musical creations also show her effort to promote & cultivate understanding between different cultural groups. Her songs are offerings of experiences that are put out to be shared with the aim to enhance knowledge & empathy in cross-cultural as well as intra-cultural interactions. Her music can provide listeners with new perspectives & allows for genuine connection across divides as it provides glimpses into emotions & thoughts, struggles or celebrations, can build comprehension & appreciation or function as a starting point for the discussion of controversial societal questions.
On her Debut EP, Ricaux uses the genres of Jazz, Soul, Rap, Pop, and Electronic music to speak about topics she was recently engaged with.
