For our first Ak Family journey, what a pleasure to welcome AP_Sick, based in Lyon, 
she builts one of our favourite go-to spaces, and excels in the way to tell
the most beautiful side of electronic music.

AP_Sick has crafted her musical identity whithin a realm she has always envisioned
as a fluid and eclectic.
Drawn to the gentle embrace of ambient sounds as well as the frenetic beats of techno
that is both rich, agressive and irresistibly danceable.
She places the emotions evoked by her music at the forefront of her artistic vision.
Her personality shines through her musical choices: intensity, sensuality, and contradictions
are ever-present in her work.

Dive into a world of suffocated thoughts intertwined. 
In this space, memories dance, between joy and sadness, to the rhythm of unfinished dreams.

Step into the entrancing universe that is Estuary Tapes, an independent label nestled between Dinan and St-Brieuc in Brittany, France. As the name suggests, Estuary Tapes unites the calm tranquility of murky waters with agitated tides to form a hypnotic musical experience.

Like a rich ecosystem, an array of music genres embrace one another with ease. With Brittany’s coastlines and countryside offering a unique source of inspiration to the label, their up-and-coming releases transport us back to a sort of dark celtic mysticism, a colorful serenity, an unfinished quest.

Treasure Island & Oltrefuturo are Future Island and they present Reflexionism, a 6 tracks EP between Ambient, Dub and Leftfield. This sounds like an old scientific audio report describing species and natural phenomena. Tribal evolutive patterns take control of your mind. Deep melancholic acid leads guides you during this trip to Italian ecosystems.

Akf Podcast 005 - AP_Sick -  Echoes of the Five Elements

For their inaugural release, London-based Vysyon presents Mercuri: an enchanting EP of enigmatic techno featuring work by Swiss artists @varuna4053 & @mateohurtadomusic.

Having developed their brand of abyssal club music through releases on Amenthia Recordings & their own imprint A Walking Contradiction, Varuna dive into the void on ‘Remote Pulsar’. Driven by a disorientating polyrhythm cloaked in opaque atmospherics, the trio’s otherworldly approach to sound design is on full display. By contrast, the pounding 4/4 kick & propulsive acid bass of ‘Uvez Echos’ entrance the listener into a state of dancefloor reverie.

Mateo Hurtado casts his own unique magic over the flip, showcasing his archetypal mystic sound established via an album on Annulled music & remixes for Space Drum Meditation. The mesmerising flute melody of ‘An Invisible Fire, Working In Secret’ casts a spell of hypnosis, while the flowing, amorphous pads & twisted bass of ‘The Eternal Mirror’ conjure visions of worlds unknown.
