Having released "L'Île Sous l'Eau" with us only a short time ago we are very happy to have this here cochlea cockle from a man who very nearly went by the name ‘DJ Windsurfing Life’ and place it into the figurative bucket that is our Forecast series. Vague Imaginaires - as well as being an old and dear friend of ours - is an artist that we knew we absolutely had to work with way back when we began our mission to spread cultural Marxism/quantum mysticism through a relatively small, boutique record label and having had the feedback on his EP we’re very pleased that our intuition was a winner and had not been completely corrupted by the amount of lava lamp liquid we had been consuming. We feel the mix gives quite a lovely insight into the sorts of sounds that influence Vague Imaginaires’ creative machinations and pairs incredibly well with the outstanding levels of vitamin D currently pouring down on us, even more so if there’s a Negroni involved.

Forecast 049: Vague Imaginaires

Well who'd have thunk it? Half-a-hundred Forecasts deep and who better to help us celebrate this tenously important occasion than our pal Vio DJ? No one, that's who. Last we seen him he was helping us folk more familiar with altitude variance deal with the existential terror of being in a place as flat as Norfolk and we welcome him back into our world (albeit digitally) with this here collection of jammers. His regular show on dublab.de is a firm favourite of ours and if like us the rain has put a pin in all outdoor based fun we would recommend enjoying this and then going through his archive while doing indoor stuff, like jenga or grouting tiles for example. Enjoy!

Bristol's local legend, Tilly hosts one of the best radio shows about, transmitting on both Noods & NTS. Away from the airwaves, Tilly is an insanely captivating club DJ, regularly turning the dance floor's a frenzy with an array of adventurous selections. 

For the podcast, Tilly has bundled together a wide variety of vintage oddities; touching on bouncy Italo, Minimal Synth and greasy New Beat in her usual  eclectic style.

Rounding off the year is non-other than Kayne The Hermit. He's one of the best young diggers around, consistently releasing some of the most interesting mixes online. Kayne also hosts the impeccable 'The Hermit Show,' a traveling radio show with a selection of killer guests.

In true Hermit style, Kayne's presented a podcast full of unheard rarities touching on pretty much everything and anything from lo-fi Bhangra to cosmic Disco and sleazy Garage.
