This week we are thrilled to welcome back Aglaia Rave, German DJ/producer and former owner of Cosmos Radio.

Aglaia got acquainted with electronic music at age 16, thanks to her brother. She absorbed the sounds of Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Fischer-Z., Pink Floyd, Front 242 and others. 

In 2012, Aglaia went to work at an Italian radio station. The following year she opened their web radio, «Radio Deephouseparade» which worked quite successfully. In 2016 she made the jump to open «CosmosRadio.de» which continues to this day. Its programs delight a large number of people around the world and offer programming in the styles of house, techno, progressive house, deep house and tech house.

She is featured on many online radio stations such as TM-Radio.com, Etymologie and more recently UGM radio, ElbrusRadio.ru, ART Radio Online, Hits4You.fm & ENCYCLOPEDIA SUPPORTS ARTISTS by LEO BΔROSO & TheDeeproom Beachgrooves Radio Ibiza 101.1 FM. You can expect nice blends and precise mixing with Aglaia Rave’s sets and that will make you go in a hypnotic groove.

Lucas Zarate is a young DJ/producer born in 2001 in Tucumán, in the north of Argentina.

From a young age, he became interested in the world of electronic music, exploring its more commercial side and discovering sounds that would later lead him to find a unique sound.

At the age of 18, he began his career as a DJ playing in well-known venues in his city, where he would form and slowly develop a distinctive sound.

In 2021 Lucas began to develop as a music producer trying to captivate the ears of his listeners with fresh sounds, forceful rhythms and interesting melodies. Lucas continues to search for a sound that truly represents him but along the way he has already had enough achievements to know that he is on the right path, through support from Nick Warren, Sebastien Leger and Gorje Hewek.

In the year 2023, Lucas joins forces with prominent figures in the organic scene such as Dulus, Molac, Alberto Hernandez, and Nicolas Viana to form the musical collective called "Sendas." The collective is dedicated to spreading electronic sounds with a Latin flavour. Currently, the project is gaining recognition and support from renowned artists in the scene, including Sebastien Leger, Gorje Hewek, and M.O.S, among others.

Ivan Fabra is an eclectic Barcelona-based DJ and artist who was first exposed to electronic music during the late 90s where he frequented clubs. He has skillfully mixed his wide music influences and demonstrates his deep love for creating atmospheric pads, groove bass lines and unique cosmic funky-disco sounds with the pure physical energy of club and dance floor sounds in his productions. His sound is defined by powerful drums and driving synths, with a unique touch and a strong ability to blend the past and the future. Sharing a passion for vintage analogue synthesizers. Best known for his heady mix of nu disco, dreamy balearic, psychedelic house and synth-driven techno along with his ability to read the dance floor has enabled him to work a crowd either warming up with sleazy laid back grooves or ramping things up into peak-time misbehaviour and up into the stratosphere.

Our guest this week is Chouaib Nadif from El Jadida, Morocco. He has been be-hind the decks since 2019 and has become a talented electronic music artist since that time. His favorite genre is afro deep house, with a spicy and magical sound. He can select a combination of exceptional music, which creates the right vibe on the dancefloor. Chouaib Nadif can bring up a variation of afro deep house, melodic house, deep house and melodic techno.

Quickly developing his skills, Chouaib Nadif shares great music and makes peo-ple dance by bringing his own style to the scene. He has performed at venues from Burning Man 2023 to many  private parties, and his sets are heard interna-tionally on a number of radio stations and shows including Turkey’s Radio Ra-coon and Mayday Records, Italy's Radio Thor and Top Class Radio; and Argenti-na’s Under Blue Radio. He has been a guest on the renowned Loud Creative Radio in England and PILQ radio in France.

ABOUT OTTAWA PROG VIBES

Alain M.'s weekly podcast, Ottawa Prog Vibes, is now in its 7th year and is a recognized presence among Canadian Electronica shows. The show has two goals: showcase progressive DJ's from Ottawa (and Canada) to a global audience, and bring international DJ guests to an Ottawa (and Canadian) audience). 

Alain plays three out of every 10 shows. His mixing has been noted as particularly creative and smooth, a skill that allow his sets to be experienced as seamless stories.

An offshoot series, called Mellow Prog Vibes, is released every two weeks and focuses on more chill vibes, slightly more downtempo, to create a more relaxed vibe. It is curated by OPV resident DJ Boraa, who plays every other episode, with guest DJs playing the alternate.

Ottawa Prog Vibes and Mellow Prog Vibes are broadcast weekly on UK's Saturo Radio, New York's Chill Lover Radio and Ottawa's Blast the Radio.


ABOUT ALAIN M.

Alain M. started dj’ing in his early 20s and played a variety of clubs, big and small, in Ottawa, Montreal and Kingston. From teenage influences in progressive rock, metal and blues, and later New York and Chicago house, Dutch techno and early trance, his style has evolved towards the more melodic, infectiously rhythmic and thoughtful sounds of progressive house, with a particular fondness for Argentinian productions.

Over his 30+ years as a DJ, Alain has cultivated a signature melodic, danceable, and thoughtful style with enough surprises to keep even the most devout listeners on their toes. His live events, organized only a few times annually, are a hypotonic, transformational experience for attendees, putting the Nation’s Capital on the map for electronic music. He has organized and collaborated in a number of events including Levitar, Sunday Meet & Beat, Sit-Down Sessions, Shake my Thursday and Expeditions, attracting a thoughtful crowd who stay mesmerized by his melodic, danceable sets, always peppered with delightfully unexpected sonic elements.

Alain M. is also a guest DJ submitting regular sets to several radio and online outlets. He is a resident on X-Beat Radio (France, Belgium). He was a monthly resident on Abyss Sound Experience on QuestLondon Radio in 2021 and on UK-based Beach Radio between 2021 and 2024.

He has appeared as a guest on a number of shows in several countries including the UK, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Peru, Turkey, Israel and the US. In Canada, he has been featured as a guest DJ at several events by Ottawa-based Music.Art.Ppl, on CHUO FM’s Vanguard Pulse Radio, on CKCU FM’s Lost In Bass and Mapped Out Radio, on Montreal’s Afterhour radio show and on Toronto’s ION radio show.
