Interested and in tune with many diverse forms of music, no matter the genre. His passion is for Funk and Groove built on a solid foundation bassline with a sprinkle of our synthedelic and/or Punk & an air of psychedelic electro with a shamanic voodoo vibe. He grew up with the music of many influence from Synth, Nu Wave,Punk, Indie and early Dance culture, key stand outs thou Chicago House and Detroit Techno. After arriving in NewYork in the early 90's after graduation in Architectural Graphic design, cutting his teeth in A multi culture with many influences. This vibe influenced his sense of rhythm and energy which is felt in his selection and passion for good Music. Having a broad but particular range which has something else within a very provocative and unique sound moving with eternal yet an earthy journey. Buying 12" from the initial providers such as Submerge Detriot. Worked in the Music business for many years with BPM records as a buyer of all Electronic/House/Techno with a major focus on these genres and 12" Vinyl as a media.

Playing DJ gigs in Ireland, UK, Europe in the early days having a few regular and Irregular slots ultimately a residency at South Club Tramore.
GBN is always drawn to the evolution of Music in its many forms and keeps the freshness and energy alive as it moves into the 21st Century.

Lucid dreams are interesting dreams, aren't they? You know you're sleeping and dreaming but still you're dreaming … Though at this point we are sure that YOU are NOT dreaming. Yes, Davis Genuino aka DAVIS is back on Live At Robert Johnson. With his fourth release we might add - more likely a dream come true.
The São Paulo citizen who's part of the ODD queer warehouse-party collective is a central figure to the city's House and Techno scene, running the »In Their Feelings« and »ODDiscos« labels he has always released his music on other labels as well such as Innervisions, Polari Records or Permanent Vacation.
For »Lucid Dreams« Davis is lit indeed as the opening track »Lit« heavily suggests. »Lit« is sheer energy: A high-speed ode to happiness driven by a marvelous bass line and lots of dreamy vibes.
»Satellite 909« takes us on a trip to slightly darker galaxies, yet it keeps the upbeat and uplifting quality Davis started with. This satellite is transmitting with the typical and beautiful aggressiveness of a TR-909 drum machine - mission accomplished.
Title track »Lucid Dreams« is next: Both versions are characterized by a synth motif which spirals upwards and upwards, certainly driving all dancers crazy for the first half of the track - up until the point when Davis releases us poor dancers and listeners after a short break by building this amazing crescendo followed by commanding claps that lead us back to the floor again. With its trancy signature synthwave melodies »Lucid Dreams« has all you've ever dreamed of - and by that we're talking again of dreams come true. Muito obrigado Davis!

Our guest this week is Chouaib Nadif from El Jadida, Morocco. He has been be-hind the decks since 2019 and has become a talented electronic music artist since that time. His favorite genre is afro deep house, with a spicy and magical sound. He can select a combination of exceptional music, which creates the right vibe on the dancefloor. Chouaib Nadif can bring up a variation of afro deep house, melodic house, deep house and melodic techno.

Quickly developing his skills, Chouaib Nadif shares great music and makes peo-ple dance by bringing his own style to the scene. He has performed at venues from Burning Man 2023 to many  private parties, and his sets are heard interna-tionally on a number of radio stations and shows including Turkey’s Radio Ra-coon and Mayday Records, Italy's Radio Thor and Top Class Radio; and Argenti-na’s Under Blue Radio. He has been a guest on the renowned Loud Creative Radio in England and PILQ radio in France.

ABOUT OTTAWA PROG VIBES

Alain M.'s weekly podcast, Ottawa Prog Vibes, is now in its 7th year and is a recognized presence among Canadian Electronica shows. The show has two goals: showcase progressive DJ's from Ottawa (and Canada) to a global audience, and bring international DJ guests to an Ottawa (and Canadian) audience). 

Alain plays three out of every 10 shows. His mixing has been noted as particularly creative and smooth, a skill that allow his sets to be experienced as seamless stories.

An offshoot series, called Mellow Prog Vibes, is released every two weeks and focuses on more chill vibes, slightly more downtempo, to create a more relaxed vibe. It is curated by OPV resident DJ Boraa, who plays every other episode, with guest DJs playing the alternate.

Ottawa Prog Vibes and Mellow Prog Vibes are broadcast weekly on UK's Saturo Radio, New York's Chill Lover Radio and Ottawa's Blast the Radio.


ABOUT ALAIN M.

Alain M. started dj’ing in his early 20s and played a variety of clubs, big and small, in Ottawa, Montreal and Kingston. From teenage influences in progressive rock, metal and blues, and later New York and Chicago house, Dutch techno and early trance, his style has evolved towards the more melodic, infectiously rhythmic and thoughtful sounds of progressive house, with a particular fondness for Argentinian productions.

Over his 30+ years as a DJ, Alain has cultivated a signature melodic, danceable, and thoughtful style with enough surprises to keep even the most devout listeners on their toes. His live events, organized only a few times annually, are a hypotonic, transformational experience for attendees, putting the Nation’s Capital on the map for electronic music. He has organized and collaborated in a number of events including Levitar, Sunday Meet & Beat, Sit-Down Sessions, Shake my Thursday and Expeditions, attracting a thoughtful crowd who stay mesmerized by his melodic, danceable sets, always peppered with delightfully unexpected sonic elements.

Alain M. is also a guest DJ submitting regular sets to several radio and online outlets. He is a resident on X-Beat Radio (France, Belgium). He was a monthly resident on Abyss Sound Experience on QuestLondon Radio in 2021 and on UK-based Beach Radio between 2021 and 2024.

He has appeared as a guest on a number of shows in several countries including the UK, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Peru, Turkey, Israel and the US. In Canada, he has been featured as a guest DJ at several events by Ottawa-based Music.Art.Ppl, on CHUO FM’s Vanguard Pulse Radio, on CKCU FM’s Lost In Bass and Mapped Out Radio, on Montreal’s Afterhour radio show and on Toronto’s ION radio show.
