Bio - I have been a DJ for over 20 years and specialise in melodic progressive house.

I am acclaimed for my mixing skills and ability to blend beats, driving basslines, percussion and synth vibes to create deeply hypnotic and immersive musical journeys.

I have performed live at high profile events throughout the UK including the Creamfields Festival and the BPM Expo.

Based part time in Spain I play live sets across the Costa Blanca’s best music venues including Floridita, El Martillo MyWay, The Oceana Club and BrewRock Beach Club.

I am resident DJ on Beach Radio with my Progressive Journeys show at 7pm BST every other Wednesday showcasing the latest progressive house releases. My exclusive mixes for each show are uploaded on soundcloud. Check out my instagram for all updates and listen at:-

I have been invited to provide a series of guest mixes for the @melodicbeatsmusic global podcast series and record label founded by legendary DJ/Producer Paul Honey. The first was released in November 2020 and the second in April 2021. The series features an unrivalled array of world class DJs including former Renaissance residents.

I have partnered with leading Sydney based DJ/Producer/Promoter @djdavebaker to provide a special guest mix for his HotHouseHours podcast which is ranked as one of the most successful in the world. I have engaged with underground house giants @melodicdeep and showcased two very special progressive house mixes on their Talent Podcast which are available on their soundcloud channel.

I have collaborated with Malta’s underground melodic techno podcast specialists @getlostinmusic_ofc and provided two guest mixes to date for their very highly regarded series hosted on soundcloud.

I am also involved with the the excellent DeepHouseSpain organisation @deephouse_spain and released an exclusive mix on their podcast hosted on Soundcloud in April 2021.

Further podcast collaborations booked for 2021 include Plymouth's electronic music media specialists Little South @little_south series alongside radio work with my friends from Dubai, Apollo Breach @apollobreach.

I have also joined forces with Brazilian house music podcast specialists NSHP on their COLLABS project with a mix released in November 2020 @nshpodcasts on their soundcloud channel.

I will return to playing live club events internationally with some very special shows and exciting new ventures planned for 2021 and beyond.

Ottawa Prog Vibes had been pining for a British guest DJ for some time and can’t think of a better first than Manchester’s @djandyclayton. I have been following Andy for some time and have become a fan of his. He is a masterfully talented DJ and an incomparable music selector.

Andy has been a DJ for over 20 years and specialises in melodic progressive house. Marcelo Strega born in Brazil in 1970 , and start to play as a Dj in 2001 with a musical style back to psytrance.
Since 2007 plays progressive house music.

ABOUT OTTAWA PROG VIBES

Alain M.'s weekly podcast, Ottawa Prog Vibes, is now in its 7th year and is a recognized presence among Canadian Electronica shows. The show has two goals: showcase progressive DJ's from Ottawa (and Canada) to a global audience, and bring international DJ guests to an Ottawa (and Canadian) audience). 

Alain plays three out of every 10 shows. His mixing has been noted as particularly creative and smooth, a skill that allow his sets to be experienced as seamless stories.

An offshoot series, called Mellow Prog Vibes, is released every two weeks and focuses on more chill vibes, slightly more downtempo, to create a more relaxed vibe. It is curated by OPV resident DJ Boraa, who plays every other episode, with guest DJs playing the alternate.

Ottawa Prog Vibes and Mellow Prog Vibes are broadcast weekly on UK's Saturo Radio, New York's Chill Lover Radio and Ottawa's Blast the Radio.


ABOUT ALAIN M.

Alain M. started dj’ing in his early 20s and played a variety of clubs, big and small, in Ottawa, Montreal and Kingston. From teenage influences in progressive rock, metal and blues, and later New York and Chicago house, Dutch techno and early trance, his style has evolved towards the more melodic, infectiously rhythmic and thoughtful sounds of progressive house, with a particular fondness for Argentinian productions.

Over his 30+ years as a DJ, Alain has cultivated a signature melodic, danceable, and thoughtful style with enough surprises to keep even the most devout listeners on their toes. His live events, organized only a few times annually, are a hypotonic, transformational experience for attendees, putting the Nation’s Capital on the map for electronic music. He has organized and collaborated in a number of events including Levitar, Sunday Meet & Beat, Sit-Down Sessions, Shake my Thursday and Expeditions, attracting a thoughtful crowd who stay mesmerized by his melodic, danceable sets, always peppered with delightfully unexpected sonic elements.

Alain M. is also a guest DJ submitting regular sets to several radio and online outlets. He is a resident on X-Beat Radio (France, Belgium). He was a monthly resident on Abyss Sound Experience on QuestLondon Radio in 2021 and on UK-based Beach Radio between 2021 and 2024.

He has appeared as a guest on a number of shows in several countries including the UK, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Peru, Turkey, Israel and the US. In Canada, he has been featured as a guest DJ at several events by Ottawa-based Music.Art.Ppl, on CHUO FM’s Vanguard Pulse Radio, on CKCU FM’s Lost In Bass and Mapped Out Radio, on Montreal’s Afterhour radio show and on Toronto’s ION radio show.

Andy is a Progressive House Artist from Manchester, UK.

His experience spans three decades since the emergence of the underground house music scene in the early 1990s.

He plays events across Europe alongside pioneers of the Progressive genre including global icon Sander Kleinenberg, Culture Box Copenhagen’s co-owner Tim Andresen and revered Dutch Producer/DJ Jaap Ligthart.

▍2025/26 EVENTS

Andy works with a number of European and UK promoters and is playing shows in Europe and London during 2025 with more dates planned for 2026.  All forthcoming events will be announced on Instagram and Resident Adviser.
