ABOUT OTTAWA PROG VIBES

Alain M.'s weekly podcast, Ottawa Prog Vibes, is now in its 7th year and is a recognized presence among Canadian Electronica shows. The show has two goals: showcase progressive DJ's from Ottawa (and Canada) to a global audience, and bring international DJ guests to an Ottawa (and Canadian) audience). 

Alain plays three out of every 10 shows. His mixing has been noted as particularly creative and smooth, a skill that allow his sets to be experienced as seamless stories.

An offshoot series, called Mellow Prog Vibes, is released every two weeks and focuses on more chill vibes, slightly more downtempo, to create a more relaxed vibe. It is curated by OPV resident DJ Boraa, who plays every other episode, with guest DJs playing the alternate.

Ottawa Prog Vibes and Mellow Prog Vibes are broadcast weekly on UK's Saturo Radio, New York's Chill Lover Radio and Ottawa's Blast the Radio.


ABOUT ALAIN M.

Alain M. started dj’ing in his early 20s and played a variety of clubs, big and small, in Ottawa, Montreal and Kingston. From teenage influences in progressive rock, metal and blues, and later New York and Chicago house, Dutch techno and early trance, his style has evolved towards the more melodic, infectiously rhythmic and thoughtful sounds of progressive house, with a particular fondness for Argentinian productions.

Over his 30+ years as a DJ, Alain has cultivated a signature melodic, danceable, and thoughtful style with enough surprises to keep even the most devout listeners on their toes. His live events, organized only a few times annually, are a hypotonic, transformational experience for attendees, putting the Nation’s Capital on the map for electronic music. He has organized and collaborated in a number of events including Levitar, Sunday Meet & Beat, Sit-Down Sessions, Shake my Thursday and Expeditions, attracting a thoughtful crowd who stay mesmerized by his melodic, danceable sets, always peppered with delightfully unexpected sonic elements.

Alain M. is also a guest DJ submitting regular sets to several radio and online outlets. He is a resident on X-Beat Radio (France, Belgium). He was a monthly resident on Abyss Sound Experience on QuestLondon Radio in 2021 and on UK-based Beach Radio between 2021 and 2024.

He has appeared as a guest on a number of shows in several countries including the UK, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Peru, Turkey, Israel and the US. In Canada, he has been featured as a guest DJ at several events by Ottawa-based Music.Art.Ppl, on CHUO FM’s Vanguard Pulse Radio, on CKCU FM’s Lost In Bass and Mapped Out Radio, on Montreal’s Afterhour radio show and on Toronto’s ION radio show.

Bridge is a DJ and electronic music enthusiast who has been consistently building his musical career for years. He began his journey behind the decks two decades ago, and in 2010, he became the runner-up in the Podkarpacie DJ Championship, which opened the door to new stages and clubs.

He is the creator of his own podcast, Sunday Soundscapes, where he presents the most interesting shades of house and techno, while maintaining a vibrant atmosphere and musical cohesion. He regularly collaborates with London-based station Saturo Sounds, ensuring his sets reach listeners worldwide.

Bridge is also a member of the Lucid collective, whose mission is to promote Polish DJs and producers. He is also developing the duo 2Nite with Funky M., where both DJs combine their styles to create energetic, groove-filled sets.

His selections are a journey through various genres, where the atmosphere and emotions the music can evoke are paramount. Regardless of whether he plays in a club or online, he always focuses on depth of sound, smooth transitions and a unique vibe that will stay in the memory for a long time.

Emiliano Cisneros, the creative mind and driving force behind the musical project EMMI BASSE. Born in Tucumán, Argentina, and currently based in Pinamar, he is dedicated to blending House rhythms with different subgenres of electronic music, such as Progressive House, Organic House, Tech House, Deep House, and Afro House.

In addition to being a DJ and producer, Emiliano is a session musician, bass player, and composer, which gives a unique identity to his productions and performances.

Each performance represents for him a unique experience and an opportunity to share his passion for music. With excitement for what the future of Emmi Basse has to offer, he continues to create sounds that deeply connect with people.

DJ Stani Stern, also known as Stephanie, is a German DJ and producer who has had an extensive journey in the world of music. Starting with a classical piano education in her early childhood, Stephanie's passion for music blossomed. 


Around the turn of the millennium, her adventure took her to Koh-Phangan’s Haadrin Beach, where she spent a season learning the art of DJing from the legendary Stefano de Mattia. She quickly progressed, and within a few months, she was playing at a Half-Moon Party for the first time.


Stephanie's move to Berlin marked a significant turn in her career. Under the name Steph, she played at numerous clubs and festivals, including the Antaris Project, in and around cities like Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Nürnberg, Paris, and La Gomera, predominantly spinning Psytrance and Minimal tracks. 


One of her most exciting ventures was with the world music band Dissidenten, which led to the "A New World Odyssey" Europe tour, adding a rich layer of experience to her musical journey. After a brief hiatus, Stephanie reignited her passion for music some years ago, this time diving into music production. 


Collaborating with longtime musician friends, she ventured into Progressive House. Her dedication culminated in many releases.

Her evolution as an artist is a testament to her versatility and enduring love for creating music.
