Bound was produced over the past few weeks at home, on trains, various airport lounges, and flying around.

Produced using Ableton, mainly stacked up with Native Instruments Kontakt kits by Heavyocity and Output.

Other than that, we have a little of Nexus, Omnishpere, and audio samples.

The most fun I have putting these soundscapes together comes from getting out and about recording samples with my iPhone (manipulation is the thing).

I hope you find this interesting enough to last the 16mins, lights off, speaker or headphones up, sit back, and explore.

4am Lift is the first trance tune I've uploaded to Soundcloud. It started out as an ambient tune around 60bpm with pianos and drones around Fm. After a couple of weeks, I found the track moving upwards towards 120bpm before resting at 125bpm. Still on the slow side for mainstream trance tune but the added delay's, reverb, and other production tricks appear to pull it even higher.

Created in Ableton 10, the tune is made up 50/50 split of wav's and midi, leaning heavily on Nexus, Omnisphere, and other key VSTs that have become my go-to over the years of toying around.

Having recently purchased Izotope mastering tools such as Ozone and Neutron I'm at the start of a sharp learning curve, fun all the same.

Other than that, no production of mine would go without a sprinkle of Fab-Filters, Cableguys, and of course Native Instruments (Having said that, not much NI in use for this one)..

Anyhow, that's the process behind the tune, I hope you enjoy the narrative..
