Always sitting slightly off-centre, Jay Tripwire is an artist that walks the line as industry staple and ever changing innovator,
releasing one standout release after another.
His signature fusion of deep Detroit textures and intricate rhythms has led a career spanning two decades,
with over 200 vinyl releases, 2 commercial mixed cd compilations, and four full length albums.
He remains one of the most prolific artists around, with an average of 15 releases per year.
He is an always an in demand remixer he averages 10-15 remixes per year.
In 2010 Jay Was honoured by being named by Future Music alongside Frankie Knuckles, Larry Heard, Charles Webster,
Atjazz, and Tom Middleton as being one of the most influentual Innovators in house music for “The thoughtful minimal stylings of Jay Tripwire.”
Most recently he’s completed a compilation mix for Steve Bug’s respected label Pokerflat –
‘Shaping Elements Vol.8’ which features a blend of deep house ranging from
Detroit inspired textures to modern European house and tech house fusions,
blurring genrefication. This follows releases on the label under his 8Channels name - a project that melds basic channel,
cosmic soul and dub into a new hybrid soundscape of techno, deep house and dub.
The moniker also appears on other highly regarded labels such as Ransom Note, Conya, NRK, Cinematic and Hallucination.
Whilst the term ‘legendary’ is often bandied about with little thought,
in Jay’s case we could say just that - his personal arsenal of re-edits and comfort in arranging extended DJ sets lasting eight hours or
more certainly demonstrates a talent that deviates from standard fare.
Jay also still supports,buys and plays vinyl, and actively seeks out records to play at gigs, when Tripwire is on the decks he plays a vinyl
and CD set.
Jay has made appearances in over 200 cities worldwide, and some of his most memorable gigs have been a decade of bookings at
Fabric London- a venue that has changed his approach to Djing, and production sound.
Jay’s work has been featured on numerous compilations, notably from Cocoon, Fabric, Renaissance, Journeys by DJ, Ultra & Bedrock,
and is supported by a diverse spectrum of dance culture from house luminaries
such as, Doc Martin and Kerri Chandler to techno legends Steve Bug and Laurent Garnier and John Digweed
With anticipated releases and remixes imminent, the Tripwire production wheel is still very much in motion,
and on its way to a turntable near you.

Lisbon-based DJ who's steadily grown inside the local circuit over the past 8 years. Known for her adventurous selections and generous energy behind the decks, she’s become a trusted name amongst clubgoers, and a familiar face around venues and events in Portugal.
Telma’s sets unfold as borderless sonic explorations, weaving through electro, house and techno with an intuitive flair — yet always ready to swerve a genre-bending left turn into breakbeats and dub-bass heavy rhythms. 

Her selections often tap into funk, disco and 80s hip-hop, nodding to the roots of electronic music while casting a sharp gaze toward its future. Whether commanding the pitch dark room or shaping moods in a listening bar, she brings a distinctive character and curiosity spark into the dancefloor.

Beyond the booth, she’s been active in co-promoting events, curating lineups and collaborating with independent labels, collectives and booking crews. Her picks ofen extend into radio, with regular guest mixes across local platforms including Rádio Quântica, ESR, Alínea A, Antena 3, Collect, and more.
Telma has shared lineups with forward-thinking artists like Roza Terenzi, D. Tiffany, Kiara Scuro, Red Greg, John Talabot, Danny Daze, Cleveland, Chez Damier, Kelman Duran, Laurent Garnier, and Moxie, amongst others. She’s also brought her sound abroad, playing at European spots like Dalston Superstore (London), La Bellevilloise (Paris), and UBU (Rennes). Festival appearances include Brunch Electronik, Sónar Lisboa, Jardim Sonoro, Elétrico, Beginnings and Waking Life.

Algunas de sus sesiones parecen tocadas por la primavera, despierta con detalles y efectos muy oportunos a su sonido para que no te rompas las caderas. Los temas siempre bien seleccionados  se clavan en la cabeza con ritmos house, algunos cercanos al pop, y con bajos sublimes que te hacen disfrutar de poder estar en la terraza de casa, de un club o chiringuito. Con un refrigerio y alguien con quien bailar al ritmo insinuante que provocan sus sesiones.
Un proceso de intriga entre sonidos hipnóticos y disco, del de pantalones anchos.

Su sonido puede ser groovy, con trompetas al más puro estilo house. A veces puede transportarnos a otros momentos claves de la música electrónica con sus samplers siempre idóneos para bailar y soñar. A veces con un final digno de reyes (pero de la oscuridad) como los samples de Josh Wink y su "higher state of consciousness" que tantos vampiros nos hace recordar de la mítica primera escena de Blade y otras  más reciente con Gil Scott Heron (escúchala)


Últimamente, Albacone se ha dedicado a jugar y ha juntado samplers hechos expresamente para la ocasión llenos de silbidos susurrantes, tintineos y rasgueos ocasionales, unas líneas de sintes pro acid y alguna voz camuflada entre capas para reinterpretaciones  improvisadas.

Secretsundaze is the trademark of forward-thinking, underground house music. As an artist and brand – spanning parties and festivals, a record label, a studio, an NTS residency and a live band project – it’s been operating for over 20 years and embodies the spirit and community of London’s club culture. But it’s never been one to sit still or rest on its laurels; leave that to the nostalgia crew because Secretsundaze always keeps it moving. 

Take this year, 2024, as an example. Right now Secretsundaze is stepping out as an artist proposition in its own right, helmed by producer/DJ/curator James Priestley who’s currently packing a stack of club tracks that will drop across the year and establish the project as a hit factory for DJs and dancers searching for a fresh take on house music that draws on breakbeat energy and trancey euphoria. Priestley is known to take the roof off as a DJ and now he’s adding to his arsenal with sought-after solo productions of his own under the Secretsundaze name. 

As a tastemaker, Secretsundaze sits at the cutting-edge, bringing new heads into the fold and always looking to champion new talent. His NTS residency, which has seen MoMa Ready, Paquita Gordon and Alex Kassian guest recently, is a reflection of the project’s current dancefloor obsessions. The meticulous curation of the Secretsundaze presents parties and Multi Multi festival, renowned for featuring talents such as Ash Lauryn and Carista long before they gained widespread recognition and uniting visionary artists like Toumba, Tash LC and NIKS under a single roof, serves as a compelling testament to Secretsundaze’s commitment in celebrating new artists.

Now for some history: 2022 saw the launch of Spirit Of Sundaze Ensemble, a full live band project that reimagines anthems beloved of those in the know, recording and performing cult bangers like Photek’s ‘Mine To Give’ and Joyce Sims’ ‘Come Into My Life’. The band has already graced the stages of the Queen Elizabeth Hall (Southbank Centre) and the ICA as well as Beat Hotel and Kala festivals, with a debut LP set for release later this year.

This duality of cutting-edge and classic is what makes Secretsundaze so special. Priestley originally cut his teeth as a d’n’b DJ and a promoter of not-so-legal warehouse parties before becoming an annual resident at the legendary Robert Johnson and landing gigs at Panorama Bar and Queen at Smart Bar, which is the kind of gigography that many selectors would happily settle for. But Priestley’s love of underground club culture has propelled him even further and Secretsundaze is now two decades deep, a pillar of London culture that has poured blood, sweat and tears into the city’s music community. 

Secretsundaze begins 2024 as a solo venture with Priestley at the helm, navigating an ever-expanding musical universe that unearths and re-engages with different styles, genres and music scene via parties, live shows, productions, radio and even a new record label.
