[LLM003] Annanan - Fear And Love EP

The music of Darren Roberts has asserted it ́s uniqueness within his preferred form of ￼expression, rolling and tunneling techno, strong on propulsion and atmosphere.

What stands out from his production and performance is that Deepbass creates something identifiably his own, but refuses to ever be limited by it or to get comfortable repeating just
one thing. Instead, he takes what ́s already his own and streamlines it, sharpens it and nuances it. The origin and destination of this bullet train might be constant, but the path it takes and how the journey feels is ever-changing.

Now the debut album from Deepbass which is going out on his Informa imprint consists of 8 tracks all in his signature sound but in a more restrained and expressive nature. A sensory journey built of entrancing melodies, fluid motions and a transcending flow which create a pure hypnotic effect. Moments of electronic tribalism consistently layered with waves of delicate sonics and textures, taking you deep into the abyss creating strong imagery in a near cinematic style.

￼The release will be available as a double 12" and digital, mastering made by Artefacts Mastering.

Description
Midgar welcomes the Bordeaux based Von Grall delivering four dense, immersive cuts. First of the list, *A Secant Line*, is an acidic and powerful mantra, opening the gates of sonic virtuality. In the second track, *The Slope*, fast paced rhythmics and cold ambiances bring some severity to the record. On the bside, the melodic and slightly dreamy excursion *Apply the Definition*, while *Limit Value* close the record with a solemn concoction of offbeats drums and mechanic nightbirds.

We're very happy to finally share with you our first release of 2016 as we bring our second Italian artist onto EarToGround. 

'Ness' also known as Andrea Deplano first caught our attention with his seminal track 'Neuronic' with came out late 2014 on Pole Group. Soon after work started on a full Ep for EarToGround. 

Tracks included have been specially made for the release and each individually display his excellent dynamic range, sound design and unique take on Techno. 

It has has been tried and tested in the best situations possible with excellent crowd response throughout. You will find a place in a set for all the tracks inside.

Being played and supported by the likes of: Marcel Dettmann, Answer Code Request, DVS1, Dax J, Boris, Stephanie Sykes, Gareth Wild, Chris Stanford, Pfirter, Emmanuel, Ben Sims, Truncate, Etapp Kyle, Sigha and Peter Van Hoesen...

Ness - Two Hours Before Neptune - Audio clips - EarToGround Records - ETG017

Channel#9 collects five tracks of free flowing techno from Italy’s Ascion. A talent who has graced labels like 3TH and Repitch, this EP balances floor fervour with subtle warm washes and colder echoes. The lulling wonders of “Anhatolia” hark back to a time of dreamlike ambience, that calm turning frosty in the early morning light of “Illusorium.” Those arctic currents become knifelike in the jagged thump and bitter acid barbs of “Doubledpang” But the rasp never turns too venomous. “Fraxtile” and “Cybbar” are from a similarly murky place, reducing some of the throbbing pound to allow melting melodies to shift and swirl. Spirited and soulful with just a hint of serpentine.

Unshakable integrity, adamant dedication and multi-faceted creativity are all characteristics that define the personality of french electronic artist Marcelus.

Following an already fluent relationship with music and a string of single releases on Tresor Records, Marcelus - given name Cedric Bros - thought it would be the opportune moment to dive into his most intimate inspirations and produce Vibrations, his debut album. This full length project naturally comes at a pivotal moment for Marcelus, his experiences and knowledge coming together to create a homogenous body of work reflective of his expertise as a musician so far.

Vibrations is purposefully techno oriented. It is a personal journey through his proficiency in the genre, travelling from techno to house inspired dub techno to futuristic and experimental by the end of the three vinyls. To calculate the dark, nonetheless melancholic energy of the record, mathematical datas of Pi and Phi were deliberately measured into parts of the composition of certain tracks on the album. The result is an ever-evolving web of rhythms that redefines pre-established structures.

Through its rich sonic journey Vibrations proves, from A to F, that Marcelus is undoubtedly one of today’s most interesting and dexterous producer in the genre, and pertinently lands on Tresor’s 25th Anniversary calendar.

Vibrations will release as 3x12” vinyl on June 3rd, on Tresor Records.

Spazio Disponibile is the Italian label run by Voices From the Lake, aka Italians Donato Dozzy and Neel. It finds the pair putting out music made with their Rome party of the same name in mind. Music comes from the founders themselves, as well as guests who record in the studio in the days leading up to the party. After a first release by Voices From The Lake, Dozzy is back with a solo EP offering four cuts to form the That Fab EP.

Dreiklang Records set sail in February 2016 with the excellent First Contact EP which featured OCH, Hydergine and Kelovolt, three singular artists each handing in their own contrasting take on the same source material. The Berlin-based vinyl-only label now returns with the same concept for the Loop Continue EP. For their second release Dreiklang call upon three strong figures of the techno scene, each displaying a highly distinct voice in keeping with the triangular concept of the label: Scottish veteran Edit Select and Italian purveyors of everything dark and deep, Dino Sabatini and Claudio PRC.

The three tracker kicks off with the deep sub-aquatic sounds of Tony Scott aka Edit Select, who produces the original version of Loop Continue, an introspective DJ tool. The Scottish producer goes straight to the point from the very start with a dusky loop that is slowly overcome by a glistening, luxuriant drone.

Claudio PRC hands in a stunning rework. A hypnotizing bass drives the track forward while tranquil chords ease in and out of focus.

Finally, Dino Sabatini, a regular collaborator of Edit Select, drops in fresh from the release of his Omonimo LP. The Outis Music boss closes the EP on a dreamy piece of broken-beat where beautiful glowing drones command attention.

Loop Continue is set for vinyl-only release June 14th on Dreiklang. The records will come as a 180g vinyl with handmade covers by Nils Atland, limited to 500 pieces.

DSC is enjoying its most productive year to date, and its not even half way through. Cliche Morph is a mysterious new entity, debuting with Liquid Materia. The title track melts streams of melody, chords dissolve in currents as a steady thump tries to tame the sonorous swash. Claudio PRC, of Prologue fame, interprets the tides of the original. Aquatic ambience floods speaker as sounds are kept below the waves in a dream state. “Impulse Inside Mechanism” pulls you further into the haunted machinery of Cliche Morph. Wraithlike harmonies ache, ghosting between steady percussion for a work of palpable emotion. That tactile quality comes to the fore with “Alternative Solution.” Rhythms are given extra girth, bass lines given extra room as strings swim before they soar.

´Conquer Us´, is the name given to the 11th reference to be released on the prestigious Spanish label Injected Poison Records. The mysterious Argentinian duo YYYY based in Buenos Aires are the main contributors on the EP boasting two original tracks, which both pour-out an intense emotional feeling, as well as compliment a sound both industrial, experimental and full of rich atmospheric and orchestral features that lead the listener on to make a journey into their own minds. The EP is also accompanied by two thought-provoking remixes on its B side.

Indigo Kennedy, having releases already on important international labels such as, Asymmetric, Token, Semantica and Stroboscopic Artifacts, has transformed ´Conquer Us´ into a dance-floor friendly version adding a different potent and raw emotional edge.
Jose Pouj has chosen a slightly riskier path by puting his own phrenic twist on the original with added texture, substance and background.

On this occasion, the label has provided digital support by means of four bonus tracks by different Argentinian talents: YYYY are responsible for; ´Redundance´, ´Stab someone´ and ´We´ll never know for a fact´ Where as Farceb, up and coming talent and producer known for his recent work with ARTS has contributed the remix of ´Stab someone´.
It´s definitely an EP fully charged with sensory emotion that will be hard to ignore.
