Flick Flack AFA '23

Inspired by my daughter, and likely influenced by having just watched the Beatles documentary Get Back, this one was recorded in 2022.

Eleanor's Theme

A cover of the song Bones by Radiohead, from The Bends. Recording dates back to the early days of the pandemic. This project was really driven by the guitar work of Sam and Joe. Bass and vocals provided by me (did my best to channel Thom Yorke, within the constraints of a much more limited vocal range). Drums, as always, come from Steve.

This was written as a follow up to Eleanor's Theme... once you've written a tune for your daughter, how do you tell your son that you haven't written one for him yet? As the name implies, this one's for him!

Someone suggested I learn to play this so I did.  I sent it to her; she didn't reply.  I never heard back.

Toledo, OH born, Chicago, IL based singer/songwriter/studio project.

Garage rock tracks influenced by Nirvana, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Ben Folds, Elliot Smith, The Beatles, and more... drifting into country, folk, indie, electronic.

No professional material here.  Everything was recorded and mixed in some kind of home studio setup, usually with Apple's free software Garage Band.  Recordings date from the early 2000s to now.

From a neurotic mind but not necessarily my own.  Anxiety, paranoia, mortality, human interaction, technology, duality.
