This was initially intended to be a pure guitar-vocal song but, when playing it for myself, I could feel that something was missing. I called Stéphane on rescue to add some more Parisian flavor. A year ago I came upon a very atmospheric ambient instrumental by Kellie Rowley in North Carolina. The music was inspired by Kellie discovering the music of Brian Eno. I was keen to get Kellie’s original title ‘Bare Bones’ into the lyrics. Thank you Kellie for making this inspiring piece available for collaboration. The picture was taken on the Canary Island of La Gomera where I like to practice rock balancing. The stones look vulnerable and precarious, a bit like our lives. It feels appropriate since this song is a kind of therapy too.
