This week we are glad to feature the Swedish-Norwegian artist Eyvind Blix. Based in Berlin, he is a prolific DJ and producer. He hosts a captivating and deep techno sound to create strong, cinematic atmospheres. Eyvind has released on labels such as Semantica, Polegroup's sub-label Aine and Oslated in the past, has played in clubs such as Tresor and at festivals such as Monument recently.

An electronic music duo from Macedonia, currently based in Skopje. The name Binary Thoughts may speak for itself, but there is a much deeper meaning embedded within.

The ancestral way of thinking has always been 'binary'. To understand nature and all its phenomena, we made a world of oppositions (day/night, sun/moon, male/female). Where the law of "all or nothing” rules, there is no in-between. But the reality is indeed always more complex and more interconnected than what our 'perception' of the world suggests.

This perception beyond this “all or nothing” connected Ana Bogatinovska and Jovana Gjorgievska. At first strangers to each other, they met at a music festival in their native country; And after a long discussion about electronic music, they've decided to do a project that will connect their somewhat different but similar taste in electronic music.

Their melancholic, delicate and hypnotic sounds use 'binary thinking' as a motor to press on to a third term or a higher category that represents a transcending reconciliation or unity: where thesis and antithesis are always harnessed to yield a synthesis. Where seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary: Yin and Yang.

Currently, they are exploring the vast horizons of deep and hypnotic soundscapes intending to create their unique blend of creativity to start producing their music.

A very special Before Party edition of On the Way to O.Z.O.R.A. 2016 welcomes Chill Dome freshman Claudio PRC (TGP, Outis, Prologue) in person at the radiOzora headquarters before he plays at the Elements of techno party hosted by VisionaryMind Lab @ LÄRM club, Budapest.

Claudio PRC, real name Claudio Porceddu, born 1987 in Sardinia, Italy. His experimental approach to techno and his knowledge on history of electronic music are the basis for a constant flow of productions since he first started releasing on the Berlin based netlabel Intoxik in 2007. After several other EPs, he received attention from the German label Prologue Music, which not only became his home base for nearly 5 years but also gave him the space to put out his widely recognised first Album “Inner State” in 2012. With his friend and production partner Ness he started his own label based on and named after their side project “The Gods Planet” in 2010, releasing their own productions and giving a little “Extra” room for releases of befriended artists. With his background in experimental and electro-acoustic music and performance, his DJ set will not only provide something to dance to, but also stimulate you intellectually.

Whether doused in the grit of his hometown Glasgow, or expanded
by the widescreen vistas of his current base, Barcelona, the music of
Darren Roberts has asserted it´s uniqueness within his preferred form
of expression, rolling and tunneling techno, strong on propulsion and
atmosphere.
Naming the project Deepbass was a strong statement of intent and
commitment to a sound of his own, from the start. That he has in fact
established it and remains on a path of constant perfection of it, is
indicative of Darren´s personality and talent.
This consistent path has seen Deepbass put out records on labels such
as Edit Select Records, Aconito Records, Dynamic Refection and
Soma, all the while enjoying a steady rise in recognition both with
audience and peers. Along the way, he found in Italian producer
Andrea Deplano, most widely known as Ness, a perfect foil for his
vision of techno, with both collaborating on releases which displayed
uncanny compatibility in sound between them. This commitment to
the deeper, hypnotic side of techno is further proved by his own label, Informa Records, where releases by names like Reggy Van Oers,
nAX_Acid, Claudio PRC, Takaaki Itoh, Ness, NX1, Hironori Takahashi
are constant highlights for those who crave expansive and engrossing
soundscapes.
What stands out from his production and performances is that
Deepbass creates something identifably his own, but refuses to ever
be limited by it or to get comfortable repeating just one thing. Instead,
he takes what´s already his own and streamlines it, sharpens it and
nuances it. The origin and destination might be constant, but the path
it takes and how the journey feels is ever-changing.

Revelation of Sound is happy to present the next guest Svarog. Svarog is one of the Slavic mythology gods, the deity of metal and fire, the forge operator. It is also the artistic name of Oleksa Moroz, musician and DJ from Lviv, Ukraine.

His career started in 2015 with the release of an EP on the cult label Circular Limited, which showcased the best deep and bold sounds of techno, where textures and ambiances match the power of the beat. 

Soon after, he released on the German labels Nachstrom Schallplatten and Affin Ltd., as well as with Black String Records, the Mexican Illegal Alien, Animal Farm or on Pole group's own Aine.

His sound is personal and unique, always focusing on dark but evocative textures, combining saturated timbres, industrial sounds and atmospheric landscapes, and even broken rhythms.

Shades of ambient, mysticism, and real techno are the elements that characterize all of his output. Modern and futuristic sounds, far both from trends and from simplicity, Direct from the soul to all intelligent dancefloors out there.

Well for me is a bit difficult to say something about me but I am  from Prague,currently I live in Spain. I started  djing  since 2015. Oriented in dark and experimental techno. In two years I discovered  love and infinity in deep and hypnotic techno. I made many own events  and played many gigs around Czech republic and Slovakia. With my different attitude for music. That techno is not only fast bmp and crazy things, techno can be dreamy, beautifull ,kind of travel in other universe, deep, full of nature sounds and hypnotic mystery feelings.

나에 대해서 무언가를 말하기는 조금 어렵지만, 나는 프라하 출신이며 현재 스페인에 거주중이다. 나는 2015년부터 디제잉을 시작했으며, 어둡고 실험적인 테크노에 뿌리를 둔다. 지난 2년동안 나는 딥 테크노와 힙노틱 테크노에 무한함과 사랑을 발견했다. 나는 음악에 대한 나의 또다른 태도와 함께 체코와 슬로바키아 등지에서 여러 공연을 하고 이벤트를 개최했다.
테크노는 단지 빠른 bpm 과 정신없는 것들이 아니라, 꿈꾸듯 몽롱할 수 있고 아름다울 수 있으며, 우주를 여행하듯 깊고 자연의 소리들로 가득 차있으며 최면적인 미스테리의 감정을 포함한다고 생각한다.

Born, raised, and based in Patras, Greece, Alexskyspirit’s experience with the decks started in the early 00s in his hometown clubs and bars, blending his early influences of dark, progressive house with psychedelic trance. As he gradually honed his production skills and started shaping his musical identity, he shared the stage with some well-established names over those years, such as Edit Select, Keith Carnal, Charlotte De Witte, Dax J, Oxia, and Robert Dietz. His self-released and label-released material caught the attention of respected individuals from a broad techno spectrum, the likes of Amelie Lens, Joris Voorn, Abstract Division, Fabio Florido, Pan Pot, Deepbass, Ness, Claudio PRC, and Blazej Malinowski, who played his tracks on various occasions. Finally, this can also be a perfect example of how his sound shaped where he stands as a producer now.
Following the previous summary is a look down on his activities, music, involvement, and inspiration. First of all, his focus and sonic environments are weaved and led by his affiliation with the coldest season of the year, the echoes and the grey scenery during rainfall, the colourful and noisy urban landscape of the city traffic, and the impactful, awe-inspiring creations of architectural nature. His sound has a light, gentle approach combined with minimal elements of hypnotic ambience, distorted textures, and cinematic pads to conjure an aesthetically-pleasing yet deep atmosphere. As for his activities, in 2014 and for three years, he was a co-owner, event organiser, and promoter for Cube Events. Once this was over, he started experimenting with Ableton and had his release debut that same year. Then, in 2019 and after a handful of EPs, he joined the hypnotic and deep techno movement. Lastly, since 2022, Alexskyspirit became, alongside Van Morph, a co-owner of Khoros Records, a UK record label and collective based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
So far, his releases are on the catalogues of Edit Select and Khoros Records, in which he is also a label artist, Circular Limited, Planet Rhythm, Paul Ritch’s Quartz Rec, Aarden Records, Bahn Records, Node Recordings, Artscope, and Postdynamic. In chronological order, the first label release was the Parasite EP in Planet Rhythm’s catalogue in the last month of 2020. Then, in the first quarter of 2021, two debuts followed with District X17 in Quartz Rec. and Waldweg Room in Postdynamic Records, having his original tracks enhanced by Gotshell and Hattori Hanzo remixes. In the heart of the spring, Edit Select welcomed Alexskyspirit to its ranks with the deep and hypnotic Kill The Signal EP. His second release to Planet Rhythm came shortly after with five original tracks in the Mystagogia EP, harnessing further his heavy yet atmospheric sound. To finalise this productive year, he released the track Defracted in the Subjective five-track compilation by Barcelona’s Node Recordings and, in the middle of summer, with Wielde Narve in Seoul’s Artscope he presented a fine example of how his deep and hypnotic productions matured.
The upcoming year was also very positive release-wise for Alexskyspirit, having an outcome that reflected well on him regarding collaborations. In January 2022, Windenland came out on the Belgian label Aarden Records with two of his original tracks getting a remix by distinguished names in the genre, Svarog and Polygonia. Next, the first of the three EPs that later on established him as a label artist on Glasgow’s Edit Select was Subtonal Origins on the first of February. Afterwards, Wormhole EP on French Circular Limited was well-received among peers and fans, followed by his debut Dystopia to Khoros Records. The previous not only stood as the beginning of him as a label co-owner but also caught the attention of the critical and impactful to-the-scene channel Hypnotic Techno Circle, which wrote a short review on Khoros’ Bandcamp. The Fundamentals is the next chapter on Edit Select with four six-minute tracks, and once more, Circular Limited presents 0456 EP, a new addition to its catalogue, which was also his first release in 2023. Finally, Transmissions is his most recent creation, the last of Edit Select’s EP series so far, which provides a good overview of where Alexskyspirit currently stands in terms of production and aesthetic.
