Regular VT heads will have already noticed we’ve been big fans of Body/Head, the annilihatory guitar rock/haunting vocal duo of Kim Gordon and Bill Nace, since the first time we heard them on the fantastic Fever compilation on Ultra Eczema. We were immediately hungry for more and their subsequent releases on Ultra Eczema, Feeding Tube Records (a collaboration with one of our other favourite projects, Michael Morley of The Dead C’s Gate) and on Nace’s own Open Mouth imprint have consistently blown us away. To satisfy our need for more Body/Head the group have graciously shared a couple of unreleased tracks that “may or may not” appear on a future release and even then they might not appear in this form. These tracks continue the string-burn and F/X-saturated vocal style we love. We always dreamed of a Rudolph Grey/Amy Sheffer duo but Kim & Bill have exceeded our expectations w/their continuing phenomenal form. Crank up the heat! Today Alligator Records is fueled by the same principles that it first established in 1971.
