The Green Revolution

Join us once again in the history hole. This time Mat and I talk about an event that not very many people outside North Cambridgeshire know about, inspired by my driving around the area this summer.

The Littleport Riot of 1816 was one of a large number of food riots across the UK during the early 19th century. In this part we explore the background to the events and what happens when a group of farm labourers reach the end of their tether. It turns out they invent some pretty ingenious weapons systems.

The village and the village: Baarle Hertog and Baarle Nassau

Here's a track that we've been working on while recording our 7th album. It'll be part of our new EP (this track included) later in the month to give you an idea of what's to come later this year.

Siren Of The Storm is a track we've wanted to make for some time that feels like the roar of a storm approaching from a distance, ever increasing intensity and emerging from a dark angry wall of cloud. This is how we imagine the sound of a storm's battle cry, fierce and growling elegance in the midst of the chaos.
