Performed live on a variety of synth gear. Much of the programming and composing was done the week prior (and night prior) to performing. Plenty of improvisation too!

Virtual Humanity is the first full-length album of my solo project Force The Edges, and it’s all about the interplay between humanity and technology. Combining 7-string virtual guitar riffs with synthesizers that are sometimes made to sound “almost human”, the listener may be left wondering where the virtual ends and the humanity begins. But the fact is, I am just one human embracing modern tools to get the music in my head out into the real world. And in that sense, I am using technology to reveal a part of my humanity that was otherwise hidden.

Drums programmed using Logic Drummer. Everything else was played by hand on a MIDI keyboard.

Bump In The Night

A slow, low, and banging beats entrenched in leviathan brass and psychedelic
sirens. Featuring tsunami sized bass that refuses to go gently into the twilight. Fierce and foreboding like the fog of war. Made from the finest ingredients to produce crunchy, flaky, finger licken’ neural textures and a spicy trap mouth-feel. Garnished with articulated snare hits and switch-ups to satisfy the appetites of even the most self-proclaimed bass-heads. Psychedelic psilo-spores permeate the blood-brain barrier in this palpably swampy and dim atmosphere, sending the listener spiraling into hazy recollections of UFO contact and mysterious glowing substances. The raucous sounds of wet balloon-animals rubbing and splashing together at a pool party.The discovery of a secret passage: a portal through a kaleidoscopic bouncy castle of illusions that the listener must dare. Encounters with the great unknown. Deep, ghastly and howling. Resonant and devoid yet both connected and inhabited.

Biography
For the better part of the last decade, Berndt Evenson has been treating audiences to his unique brand of original, albeit eclectic electronic music known as Alluvion. Evenson has been in various musical groups since he was a teenager, all the while developing a skill for electronic production, and pursuing his love for live performances. During April and May of 2017, Alluvion toured parts of the Midwest, Mountain states and Pacific Northwest - performing 30+ shows in over a dozen states. Alluvion continued to tour in the Midwest during the fall of 2017 and throughout 2018.
	Alluvion’s first release “The Deepest Depths of Shallow Waters” (March, 2016), marked a whole new beginning for Alluvion in more ways than one. It is an impressive new turn and continues to show that Alluvion’s music is anything but predictable. Since then, during the early Winter of 2017 & Fall of 2017, Alluvion made two more releases.
The Alluvion concert experience features live guitar and heavily effect driven layered vocals over psychedelic trip-hop down tempo beats. Evenson seems determined to assure audience members, that this isn’t typical EDM or basement rock; however, once you’ve seen or heard Alluvion, that becomes delightfully apparent.
