This are the collaborations I made with Alan Hamilton over the last years. It's a great thing that happens through SC, to meet such wonderful musicians and human beings.
We are together - from time to time - Louis Taverna, John Hamilton, Andy Grossart, Tony Conway. The music is mainly Alan's, and I added the Woodwind arrangements and playing, mainly soprano, baritone and tenor saxes, but here and there flute, alto flute, clarinet and bass clarinet.

[CONCEPT]
This short piece is about our dependence on our phones and the heavy use of search engines. I admit those are indisputably handy and give us a sense of satisfaction by showing answers to our questions at any given time. But at the same time, I'm feeling that we need to give space to ambiguity. If people came to think putting heads together to solve problems was inefficient and the last thing they could do, then where was the value of exchanging words with others and making an effort to live peacefully on Earth in the first place? Rather than keep scrolling down the screen with red eyes, why don’t you close your eyes for some moments and listen to the sound surrounding you? Or, while you’re in the passenger seat, it should always be better to engage in a conversation with the person next to you than to keep swiping until you get a new comment on the post of your selfie at the party last night.

Now retired from a life 'on the road' as a freelance keyboard player, I compose and record in my home studio, situated in the Carrick Hills in Southern Scotland. My music is mainly instrumental in nature and is a reflection of my life experience, sometimes real and sometimes imagined.
My influences are many and I have quite probably been shaped by listening to the very many "giants" of music, both players and composers. From classical to contemporary jazz and everything in between. My main instrument is the keyboard, whether that be piano, organ or synth. But I also play banjo, flute and percussion. I have a special relationship'with bass, whether upright or electric and use virtual and synth basses from numerous sources, but mainly Trilian by Spectrasonics.

I'm a baritone sax player & composer in a contemporary jazz genre from Cologne, Germany (and play clarinet and flute, and the other saxes as well). All woodwind parts on these tracks are played by me (multitrack rec.), all other instruments by virtousi virtuali (with three or four exceptions). All arrangements and by far most compositions are by me.
