Honestly, I feel really iffy about how this one turned out. I prefer my Dealing With A Devil cover by a long shot, especially since that one took only a day to start and finish while this one was a bit of a challenge. I feel like that one was also a bit more inspired creativity-wise.
Oh well, at least I've finally started to figure out how to use sidechaining as a mixing tool

After @harumi-makoto told me VGMTrans can work with PSF files, I instantly decided I was going to make use of this and play with the Mega Man 8 PSF set. Then I decided I was going to make an SNES cover of an underrated gem in a highly underrated soundtrack!

As far as I know this is the longest NSF that uses the 5B musically, exclusively, AND uses all of its features (envgen, noise, multimode channels, mode combos). This is basically me making an MSX play music at half its normal clock speed, except the chip is on a cartridge and it's the Famicom.

My final entry for my exploitation and explorations of my custom-made soundfont from Famitracker for the year. I struggled Soooo damn much with this tune... there's like 3 or 4 different versions! Mainly with writing and not execution. Anyway, none of that really matters... what matters is that I hope y'all enjor the version that appeased me : )

Look forward to more explorations of the 2A03 soundfont sometime in the future! I will be uploading a final playlist of all this stuff @ the end of 2018 so please look forward to that : )

I've had this thing finished for several months but never bothered to upload it, so I thought it'd be neat to have it up for christmas so yea, cool.

This is mostly just me using the Shovel Knight instruments to create an arrangement, I took most of my inspiration from The Betrayer obviously tho the intro uses some instruments from Flowers Of Antimony, but yeah a lot of it is just me dicking around till I thought I had something that sounded neat so it's not supposed to be like a perfect 1 to 1 with any specific Shovel Knight track lol.

This song was made with the sounds of the Yamaha PSS-100 only. It's a small square wave toy keyboard with a voice variator and a digital recorder. It was released in 1989.
I've used the original and sampled versions of the sounds, together with eq, delay and reverb.
