This is a piece specifically written for a 500 year old building which doesn't exist today - St Mary's Abbey, York. It had an 11 second reverb time! Architexture 2 exploits this unique space an integral part of the composition. Singers and reverb are amplified.

Part of the Quantaform Series I-XX of Contemporary solo Flute Pieces. Performed by Jos Zwaanenburg, May 2012. This movement is a demanding work which asks the flautist to perform notes with 'backwards attacks' (as if a tape were played backwards), and make subtle transitions at speed between pitch and noise whilst keeping tightly to a relentless groove.
