I discovered you by chance when my smartphone tried to automatically locate album covers online for my music library and for some reason picked the cover of your "Welcome Scissors" album for something else entirely. I figured I'd look you up and this was the first track I found. Also, I now love this track.

She’s had releases on Carl Cox’s Awesome Soundwave label and her own Ghost Kitchen label gives her total autonomy and the freedom to create and release her own unique and engaging style of electronic music.In total she’s released 9 albums and many EPs She’s toured the globe with her live performances which feature expertly crafted meditative moments of sublime electronic bliss. The deep and understanding relationship between Anna and her machines is instantly apparent during her performances as she glides effortlessly from modular synthesiser to drum machine via effects units.

The second sub-label of Ran music - ‘Ran Rad’,  is officially and finally launched today!

 ‘Rad’ is the German word for ‘wheel’, signifying the wish to always move forward. Appreciating this, our friend Liu Wei (FLOSO Design) made a logo with an inspiration from the iconic Neza’s Wheel on Fire, who is a representative protection deity in  Chinese folk religion. 

Initiated in Leipzig Germany, Ran Rad is a new member of the Beijing-based label Ran Music. Currently based in Germany and China, Ran Rad aims to support Ran’s mission of bridging the underground scene from China and beyond. Ran Rad seeks for interesting sounds covering a diversity of genres, when those from hardware gears are particularly embraced. Bass music, however, is totally Ran Rad’s greatest interest.

The first release of the label, namely "The Kickoff" is a long-awaited compilation including beats of producers from all over the world. Our international artists on this compilation include Polish electronic music live-act An On Bast who has just released an EP on Ran Music, Dutch producer Subp Yao and his partner Dayle, German hardware geek DRANQ, Swiss duo Simpig, as well as Germany-based Footwork producer Terrorrythmus. On the China side, Negative 808 from the south coast of China, Beijing-based young Drum and Bass talent Radiax, and our old good friend Soulspeak who is using Kai Lune as the alias this time. 

The artwork was created by German graphic designer Super Quiet. All of their amazing contributions has made the release happen.

Last but not least, this compilation is later coming out also on 12" vinyl, which will be distributed globally by the legendary record label/store Kompakt.

An On Bast is the moniker of electronic music producer and composer Anna Suda from Wrocław, Poland. Her largely improvised concerts, utilising hardware instruments, hop between melodic techno, experimental and ambient genres.
2006 marked the beginning of Anna's illustrious career when her debut album was published and she was subsequently selected from thousands of candidates to participate in the Red Bull Music Academy in Melbourne.
Vehemently active for the past 17 years within the international electronic music scene, her challenging approach into the research of high-powered sounds and textures is the cornerstone of her live electronic and techno groove. The unique combination of her rich imagination and excellent technical ability allows her to deliver exceptional musical experiences.
The deep and understanding relationship between Anna and her machines is instantly apparent during her performances as she glides effortlessly from modular synthesiser to drum machine via effects units. The results of these performances capture both the audiences ear and eye, immersing and encapsulating them in the entity that is An On Bast.

Anna has released a number of EPs and seven solo albums. Suda also collaborates with labels across the globe, her music is published by record labels in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Portugal, Australia, USA and China.
As well as her innovative electronic achievements Anna also eagerly reinterprets classical works of art. "The Rite of Spring" by Stravinsky as well as Chopin, Wieniawski and film music by Penderecki. She also works with sound design, creates music for movies, installations, modern dance performances and everything where music adds meaning and colour.
