POOLcast 075 - Collab Special - Storlon + Dollar Mambo

Our second POOLcast of the year is a collaboration between Storlon and Dollar Mambo from Switzerland. In their POOLcast the worlds of a modular enthusiast and a piano player are colliding. Both use all kinds of electric and acoustic sound generators to create a musical hybrid.

Acoustic-analog and synthetic-digital with influences from jazz, classical, drone, ambient, minimal, experimental and musique concrete form a heterogeneous body of art, which surprises over and over again with soulful details, mysterious sounds and rhythms. Dynamic, melodic and hypnotic. All stops of sound blending are pulled out, creating a maelstrom that is hard to escape from.

POOLcast 079 - Waldboot

Our latest edition of the POOLcast comes this month from Waldboot. A fictional, artificial construct from the world of Three Apes.

POOLcast 079 is a weave of the musical aspects of this construct. Synthetic, acoustic and emotional sounds, which have their origin in the coincidence of the moment, document a timeless journey through sheer endless worlds. Waldboot's musical form manifests itself in almost exclusively self-synthesized sounds, using various generative algorithms to create a fabric of organic textures and artificial atmospheres. This seemingly tangled web serves as a breeding ground for all sorts of emotional moments and unpredictable ramifications. A kind of a musical maze, which knows neither entrance nor exit. You get the feeling as if you were, are and will irrevocably always have been a part of this mesh.

Coincidence with meaning generates emotions.

POOLcast 079 - Waldboot

The Bleepsequence collective has come together in his fourth collaborative compilation with new efforts in manifesting the deep passions and anxieties of our fluctuating patterns of consciousness. The assignment: Forming dreams into sound. The experiment resulted in a beautiful haze of textures, lush pads, strange found sound, clicky grooves, and thoughtful moods ranging from peaceful to foreboding.
