Was für'n geiler Blues! Mist, dass ich den jetzt erst entdeckt habe - 6 unnütze Jahre durchlebt... ;o)

and it means a lot, when the wife says, it is not that bad ;-)

Recorded and mixed at Studio 7ème Ciel near Paris, "A Fresh Start" is a light, bright and positive short piano piece. Different parts follow one another: calm and light theme introduction, exciting climb, sunrays arpeggio patterns, before a bright final main theme exposure. 

As it’s released in April, you may instantly think to Spring, sun, flowers, growing plants… These ones are the true heroes of the piece music video!

But there is something more intimate in this track. After a harsh 2020 year, represents an actual new start for the artist: new house, with a garden, new neighbors s (that do not complain about piano volume anymore), new town… in short: new life conditions. So inspiring!

But after such trouble times, isn’t everyone out there asking for a fresh start, and developing itself towards new horizons?

Lately I rummaged through my harddrive and found an old track I recorded 10 years ago. That was when I startet using a DAW to record. As always when trying out something new I did some blues chords and improvised over them. Now I rediscovered this old recording and my wife told me that it's not that bad ;).
So searched for that old daw-project and loaded it. Some of the plugins I used back then were missing so I added ezdrummer and a bass plugin, and a new vst-amp on the guitar track. I do not have the guitar I used anymore. I think it was a Washburn.
So, here's the result. As always, feel free to comment etc.

Albert Collins' minor licks are always very inspiring. He had a huge genuine tone and, during his lifetime, he was a great hard working  musician.
I hope this Collins' style track makes him some justice.

After playing in coverbands for decades I'm now trying to record my own songs. Some of my friends (members of various bands I played with) singing. I'm doing the guitar parts and production with reaper DAW. Drums: EZDrummer, Superior Drummer (toontrack). Guitar: (mostly) S-Gear (scuffham amps)
