The second installment in the Torments series, Regret is a narrative of love, obsession, and abuse. 

The conversation-like exchanges between the violin and clarinet tell of a power struggle, in which one begins to cut the other short, complete the other's sentences and dominate the other. 

The rising tension therein results in an inevitable breakdown, leading to a moment of reflection, in which the disastrous path of the relationship, from cooperation and trust to chaos and instability, is chronicled once more, ending in a slow lament by the heartbroken clarinet.

This performance was recorded at Los Angeles, and was performed by musicians from the Definiens Project.
