It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find the words to introduce guests who need no introduction, enter: one of Naarm’s most loved and lauded, LOIF. LOIF is a DJ, producer and underground operator who has been forging a luminescent path in uncharted, underwater territory since the release of his first EP ‘Electronic Organism’ in 2019. Since this time, LOIF has been taking us on spelunking adventures through intricate patterns of space and sound. Much like intricately woven cave systems, LOIF produces tracks with hidden complexity, space and depth. LOIF’s forthcoming EP ‘Plunge’, set for imminent release on @animalialabel has been described as an oceanic exploration. Yet unlike the vastness of the ocean, LOIF’s performances and productions are executed with laser-like precision - sharply programmed drums and abundant restraint present an intriguing contrast between minimalism and maximum impact.
