Forever by Anteeter, premiered Tuesday, October 11th, 2022, across all music streaming platforms. The tumultuous, alt-rock banger, was released alongside a music video by Michael Picciano-Shanton and will be followed by a music video for Anteeter’s previous single, I Am A Slow Joe, by Joe Brocero (director of G-Herbo’s Me, Myself, and I, music video).
Bombastic and intruding, Forever instantly grabs the listener’s attention, enveloping them in a deranged cacophony of vivacious melodies and instrumentation, practically daring them to try and not head-bang along. Forever’s laidback and sarcastic verses masterfully build anticipation until they, at last, smash into the track’s absurdly catchy choruses, creating an irresistibly punky juxtaposition. Engineered alongside Chris Dunn, frontman of up-and-coming Chicago band, Fleshed Out, Forever creates a similar, sonic aesthetic to popular alt-rock artists like the Nine Inch Nails, the Killers, and Interpol.
Forever, is Anteeter’s 3rd single (following the Fear of Nothing To Do and I Am A Slow Joe) and will release alongside a music video, shot by Michael Picciano-Schatton, a regular in the Chicago film scene and amongst popular alt-rock Chicago bands like Arcadia Grey. The Forever music video release will be followed by a music video for Anteeter’s previous single: I Am A Slow Joe, in the Winter of 2022. The latter video will be directed by the acclaimed Joe Brocero, who has directed for the likes of G-Herbo, Boogie with a Hoodie, Pardy Alone, and Jae Ham (from Netflix’s Rhythm + Flow).

Based out of Chicago (but a Memphis native), Anteeter (Mike Kelley) is a singer, songwriter, producer, and composer. His debut single, I Am A Slow Joe, premiered February 4th, 2022, and was featured on the original motion picture, The Party’s Over (along with other scoring by Anteeter), which has over 54,000 followers on Tik Tok. Anteeter’s brilliant cacophony of blaring synths and raunchy vocals masterfully engages audiences with a sonic punch to the gut. A style completely of its own, the sarcastic, potent lyricism in combination with synth-heavy instrumentation, feels similar to artists like Radiohead, Yves Tumor, and M83.
