What a gift to play shortly after sunrise on one of the most incredible sound stages at Burning Man. The mix that came together here was partly made up of some of my favorite moments from 2021-2022.

Apukuna is a visionary DJ and musician whose musical offerings transcend the ordinary, creating powerful, heart-centered journeys that ignite dance floors, guide ambient sound journeys, and deepen breathwork sessions. His distinctive approach to DJ'ing relies on looping, live remixing, live vocals, and digital percussion to craft unique and improvised experiences.

Known for his ability to blend sacred music with soul-shaking movement, Apukuna's journeys help to heal, uplift, and guide transformational experiences. He describes his creations as a ‘movement, a meditation, and a prayer for an awakening heart’.

Apukuna is also singer-songwriter Jon David (@jondavidmusic) and an adept presenter and workshop facilitator, delving into the realms of conscious communication, community-building, and food.
