AREA 2181 is an experimental gay men’s dance party that happens every third Saturday at The Seattle Eagle.

Across decades of devotion, hard work and a natural talent for connecting with the dance floor, Nicole Moudaber has cultivated an unparalleled reputation. A staunch advocate for personal freedom, she is highly regarded worldwide for her deep knowledge, unforgettable DJ sets, definitive productions and iconic aesthetic - a pillar of the global electronic music community. With regular appearances at a long list of influential and innovative club spaces and festivals, Nicole Moudaber’s versatility, passion and intuitive approach place her in the top tier of touring artists. 

She has travelled the world playing a variety of locations, from intimate basement venues to large stages at festivals such as Coachella, Ultra Music festival, Time Warp, Electric Daisy Carnival, Awakenings and many more of the world’s most renowned electronic music spaces. Besides her solo releases and a consistently packed touring schedule, she has collaborated with a wide range of artists. In line with her diverse outlook, they include Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Armin Van Buuren, Chris Liebing, Jasper Street Co. and The London Community Gospel Choir, among many others.

Elsewhere, her radio show InTheMood continues to fly the flag for Nicole’s musical expression. For 11 years now she has hosted the show, with a music policy that has become all encompassing. The show is syndicated globally, airing on 60 FM stations worldwide, spreading her sound to millions of listeners around the globe. 

Her highly-regarded techno label Mood is now complemented by MoodCollective - focusing on techno and providing a new platform for self expression. Nicole is also writing a book about her life. In a boldly vulnerable move, she will tell her story in detail, giving fans a chance to gain a deeper understanding of her personal and professional background.

DJ Derek Pavone has graced the Seattle music scene with his talent and knowledge since the early 1990s. His passion for cultivating and sharing unique and outstanding tracks continues to this day.

Derek inspires and delights dancers with his disco and techno selections (often with a splash of house,) at his weekly tea dance, Revel, a free disco, soul, and funk night every sunday at Nightjar. Long standing residencies include Seattle Eagle, Lava Lounge, and Steamworks. His ongoing collaborations include Bottom Forty and Möbius Sisters, two Seattle-based queer collectives which focus on guiding curious and willing listeners deep into the underground..

Joey Webb, a native of San Francisco, has been dishing out dance floor rhythms for over twenty years. Now residing in the Seattle area, he has been bringing his charismatic energy to the turntables as a consistent sound selector for a variety of house, world groves, funk, and soul evenings in the region. Joey has utilized his experience as a DJ in New York City, Houston, San Francisco, and Seattle, where he held party residences, to produce sets that cross genres and entertain thousands. He has supported house legends such as Ron Trent, Terry Hunter, Heather &amp; Colette, David Harness, and Miguel Migs, among others. Joey, a pillar of the Seattle underground house music community, continues to play the music he loves without limitation.
