Winter of 2020 wasn't the best time for most people. For me, I stepped back from music defeatedly and it wasn't until I picked up my guitar again that I realized how much of myself I sacrificed by putting it down in the first place. This song is what resulted from that reunion. I became so dedicated to sharing the sense of hope and dedication to myself that writing this song sparked that I went to work learning as much as I could about music production as quickly as I could with no resources or money. I just knew I wanted to release this song in enough time to resonate with other people who feel like they lost their best selves during quarantine and inspire that hope that you can feel like yourself again - and that can feel so damn good.
