“Bear" is about the lifelong friendship between Tom’s Dad and Bear, who was diagnosed with leukaemia. The song captures the emotional anguish of discovering Bear's illness, reminiscing their youth and precious friendship. "Bear" encapsulates the determination of a friend, doing whatever is needed to help someone you care about. Tom's Dad took up a strict lifestyle for months so that if it was needed, he could give Bear bone marrow, hence the core lyric: "Take all you need to keep on, 'cause I need you more than my bones.".

Armstrong are an alternative-rock band, made up of 4 best mates from London. They’re known for their impactful songwriting, hard-hitting “wall-of-sound”, and fiercely energetic live shows.
 
In 2024, Armstrong return with a new string of releases, starting with Tailored To Fit. A song written about late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, with an overall theme of dealing with death and loss. Strong guitar riffs, heavy drums, and powerful harmonic choruses give this track a classic anthemic rock feel.
 
With regular support from BBC Introducing Radio, their singles have impressed audiences with classics such as Floor and Home Street Bleeding being crowd favourites, alongside their newer repertoire, such as Morning, giving an opportunity for their fans to sing their lyrics back.
 
They have racked up 150+ gigs across the UK, supporting the likes of The Feeling, Toploader, Frankie Beetlestone, Future Utopia, Fizzy Blood, October Drift, Haunt the Woods, ARXX, as well as headlining their own shows and festivals.
