This next Toy Tonics EP takes one more step into a futuristic sound that connects Broken Beat, House & Neo Soul.
The EP was produced by Fényan. France based dancer and producer (originally from Martinique) who hooked up with Kosmo Kint.  Soul singer raised in New York and since one year part of The Toy Tonics crew in Berlin.

Fényan & Kosmo Kint met shortly after Kosmo Kint's first release on Toy Tonics (the „Get Lost“ EP with french producer Mangabey). Together they created three magic sparkling pieces of music. A unique sound inspired by the UK Jazz sound and the broken beat scene. A great further step in the evolution of uptempo Neo Soul dancemusic.

Fényan's rhythms are special. The groove is unique. This music makes you dance differently. No wonder as Fényan (his real name is Kwame)  is a professional dancer. 
He is travelling around the world teaching dancing with his own dance company and is a judge on international dance battles. Besides dancing, he has been producing beats since the age of 19 on his MPC. Influenced by the great names of deep jazz and fusion, but also inspired by the music from his origin Martinqiue: Zouk, Biguine, Bélè… you can feel this in the programming of his beats.

Besides the MPC Fényan tried many instruments, but mainly it’s the keyboards and the trumpet what he feels well with intuitively.
Kosmo Kint lives in Berlin for three years. He came from NYC where he was singing in Soul bands, hanging out with musicians and also writing songs for other artists. He is one of the many artists that moved from the big apple to Berlin recently. He joined the Toy Tonics crew almost 2 years ago to work on new styles between House and Soul. Disco and R&B. In fact there is a big movement of international top musicians coming to the German capital. It's not just DJs in Berlin. But a huge community of ex-pad musicians working on all kind of styles. Mixing the European electronic dancefloor music with all kinds of vibes and influences. And many of these musicians find a new home on Toy Tonics records.

Renowned for cleverly fusing different musical influences into timeless contemporary jams, Arpy Brown (aka Athlete Whippet) is the musical moniker of Robin Paul Braum. Spread across Berlin and London he's become an integral part of both cities’ scenes in recent years with releases and remixes for the likes of Toy Tonics, Aus Music, Rhythm Section and Kitsuné Musique.

2024 has seen Arpy Brown take his joyful, high energy sets that combine club music’s intensity with the charm and intricacy of none-electronic, organic music, to stages across mainland Europe, the UK and as far as Australia and New Zealand.

Taking a communal approach to music making, Robin co-founded Athlete Whippet together with long-term friend and collaborator Aviram Barath, who he co-ran artist collective and record label squareglass with at the time. In line with this ethos, he's also been hosting intimate nights with DJs from far across the electronic music ecosystem since 2019. Guest sets from the likes of Seb Wildblood, Jitwam, Rebecca Vasmant, Fouk, Amy Dabbs, Hidden Spheres, Will Saul and some of the scene's brightest new talents have made for some unmissable parties in London's and Berlin's cosiest venues.

Arpy Brown's releases have also come with reworks from Ross from Friends, Baltra and Max Graef and have been supported by the likes of BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Mixmag, DJ Mag and Resident Advisor.
