Neale’s journey with music started when he got his first set of decks at 14 and started playing speed garage & bassline house music which was massive in the Birmingham underground scene at the time. 
After many years away from the decks, At the start of lockdown Neale decided to put his all into learning music production and getting back into DJ'ing again. Already his mixes have hit global charts on mixcloud and he has his 2 releases signed for release in early 2021
Neale loves all music and learns so much from all genres. In this mix he has showcased some of the sounds he loves as well as playing a exclusive of his latest track “Everyday”

Am 15.09.2015 wurde KataHaifisch in Form einer Podcastreihe auf dem Portal SoundCloud ins Leben gerufen. Das Ziel war es eine Plattform für DJs und Newcomer zu schaffen. In den vergangenen 5 1/2 Jahren entwickelten sich doch sowohl die Träume, als auch Ziele und Pläne für KataHaifisch weiter. 
Das Team wurde größer und die zu bewältigenden Aufgaben mehr. Neben dem wöchentlichen (ehemals zweiwöchentlichen) Donnerstags Podcast fanden auch dutzende Premieren auf KataHaifisch ihren Platz. KataHaifisch Merchandise Kollektionen wurden konzipiert, produziert und anschließend auf der eigenen Webseite zum Kauf angeboten. Mitte Mai folgt dann auch das erste Release auf KataHaifisch als Record Label. Insgesamt bekommt Ihr 11 Tracks, auf einer Various Artist Compilation zu hören. 

Die Basis bleibt jedoch Hauptaugenmerk von KataHaifisch. Kernstück ist die Hörerschaft auf SoundCloud. Mittlerweile ist diese Community auf 20.000 Mitglieder herangewachsen. Jeder Einzelne von Euch hat uns auf unserem Weg begleitet und unterstützt. Wir möchten jedem Follower, Supporter, Partner oder auch zufälligem Hörer Danke sagen. Ohne Eure Loyalität und stetige Unterstützung wären wir nicht soweit gekommen.

It’s Podcast time and we dive right back in to our guest invites and we’re very pleased to welcome a rising talent from the London underground scene, who has been making quite the name for herself in the last year - Redfreya! 🤩

An emerging artist in the London Deep House / Deep Tech scene, Redfreya is drawn to melodic, percussive and hypnotic tracks, weaving deep groove lines with emotive vocals, and always seeking to curate an emotional arc in her sets. 

She holds a monthly residency on Bloop London Radio (last Tuesday of the month at 7pm), and has played across London including Brixton Courtyard, Dalston Superstore and The Cause, to name a few. Although she regards herself as a relative newcomer to the scene, she has been working hard on curating guestmixes as well as her monthly radioshows, and has a lot of projects lined up for 2021.  

A lifelong music lover, she started her musical career with a solid grounding in classical training as a flautist, singer and pianist, and was initially inspired by  minimalist composers Philip Glass, Nils Frahm, Yann Tiersen and The Cinematic Orchestra. When she discovered electronic music this progressed to a broadspectrum love of all melodic, deep and progressive genres (and a hint of techno/minimal too) - "I don't discriminate by genre but to me, music has to be both emotional and beautiful".

A bit about the mix from Freya:

"This is an ethereal, emotional journey through the more ambient side of melodic/progressive house and techno - I decided to build the entire mix around the mood the 2nd track, one of my all time faves - Turn Around by Sailor & I (Âme remix) - not much more needs to be said. I hope you can lose yourself a little for an hour, and join me for the trip."

Resident at London's iconic @beatclublondon + weekly on @blooplondon - Redfreya plays deeply grooving, reflective music, inspired by the sounds of  labels such as Mobilee, Kompakt, Get Physical, ISOLATE, Maeve, Siamese, Innervisions, Sum Over Histories and more.

A rising talent in the London scene, Redfreya is drawn to melodic, percussive tracks, weaving deep groove lines with emotive vocals, and always curating an emotional arc in her sets. She is a core resident of London's leading melodic music promoter, Parable.

Kicking off January '23 with her first international show of the year in Belgium, Redfreya has already shared the booth with artists like Mano Le Tough, Trikk, Frankey & Sandrino, Fideles, Ae;ther, Lee Burridge and more. 

Drawing on records from a wide range of genres spanning deep/melodic/afro house, indie dance, groovy tech house, rominimal, dub techno, melodic/progressive techno, Redfreya is beginning to carve out a signature sound at this early stage in her career - providing thought provoking and reflective DJ sets rich in ambience and emotional tension. 

A lifelong music lover, Redfreya began her musical training with a solid grounding in classical music as a flautist, singer and pianist, and was initially inspired by minimalist composers such as Philip Glass, Nils Frahm, Yann Tiersen and The Cinematic Orchestra. She is currently studying music production,  and intends to be ready to release her own music later this year.

Seu estilo musical incorpora uma mistura de house, disco e acid techno influenciada por sons tropicais e world music, evocando a fantasia da vida noturna latino-americana quando encontra o sunset europeu. No último ano, realizaram turnês por São Paulo, Campinas, Brasília, Manaus, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza e Rio de Janeiro, se apresentando em mais de cem festas em importantes casas, como Caos, D-Edge, Jerome, Lust, Comuna, Deputa Madre, Festival Maomoon, Bar Alto, Zig e Lote.
