This is Draw The Line Radio Show with Jacki-E, presenting the best music from female producers and DJs.

Helping me Draw the Line with her guest mix in the second hour it’s Tanvi who’s from Bangalore in India. Crackling textures, roaring basslines, hypnotic grooves and quirky sonic artefacts grab you by surprise and define her taste in techno. She’s played all over India at many clubs, festivals and parties and has recently got into music production. Her first release, ‘Cosmic Microwave’ came out on a VA compilation for Observant in August 2022.

Bad Trip

Groove, consistency, minimalism - these three words reflect well the fourth episode of our podcast by @qbs . This gentleman needs no special introduction. Etapp Kyle, James Ruskin, Barker, Steve Bicknell or Efdemin are just some of the artists with whom he had the opportunity to share decks, and almost 20 years on the scene speaks for itself. The leader of the Impro series presents here a danceable and functional version of minimalist techno, recorded at the Cel club in July during one of the events. The tempo, especially in the later moments, can be quite intensive, but the building of atmosphere remains constant. There are many abstract loops, Detroit references. This is techno with soul and flair. Qbs, thank you very much for this exceptional recording, and you listeners are warmly invited to listen to it.

Drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres and artists, Arsène's music is characterized by its unique and intriguing soundscapes, unconventional rhythms, and is constantly pushing himself to evolve his sound and explore new techniques.

When it comes to performance, Arsène is all about creating a transformative experience for his audience. He believes that music has the power to transport people to other worlds, both mentally and physically. He takes an improvisational and hybrid approach to DJing and live performance, allowing himself to shape his sets in real-time, and get lost in the music.
