Desde su aparición, el proyecto ha sido a menudo etiquetado como “pitch black techno war funk“  (citado después de una reseña inicial de Boomkat) y estrechamente asociado a lo que más tarde sería etiquetado como el movimiento "tecno industrial". Esto posiblemente se deba a la estética radical de la máquina que Ancient Methods ha convertido en un sonido característico inconfundible desde hace más de una década. Since its emergence the project the has been often labelled as “pitch black techno war funk“ (quoted after an early Boomkat review) and closely associated to what later on would be tagged as the “industrial techno“ movement. This is possibly due to the radical machine aesthetics Ancient Methods has developed into an unmistakable trademark sound, since more than a decade. However the mechanical framework is - no more, no less - a physical ambassador for a deeper content, there is a profound human emotionality enclosed in the rhythmic shell.

Ancient Methods, founder of the Persephonic Sirens Label, has cemented his status as a steadfast presence within the electronic music scene for nearly two decades. Firmly grounded in the conviction that innovation arises from dismantling barriers, his DJ sets, live performances, and productions are a perpetual force of nonconformist renewal, devoid of ingratiation to fleeting vogues. Back in August 2024, in the final stretch of summer, Ancient Methods b2b UVB took us on a three-hour ride to the end of time and back. A post-industrial vortex pulled us in, where deep mechanical grooves met tight rhythmic control in a set that was both punishing and hypnotic. The pacing was expertly crafted, grinding tension, explosive peaks, and moments of eerie restraint, all delivered with a raw, analog-driven energy that kept the floor locked in.
