EL MAMU is Mateo Muñoz's artistic project as a producer, DJ, and live artist. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, after a professional career as a classical pianist, he found a way to rebuild his artistic career through music production. His live act was the overall winner of the 2023 Clandestino Competition organized by Techsound, and he subsequently shared the stage with renowned international artists such as Lewis Fautzi, Alarico, DJ Pete, Truncate, Anne, among others.

EL MAMU's music always pursues the experimental in its many facets without losing sight of the classic, fusing drum machines with current sounds and concepts. His music has been released on labels such as Naked Lunch (Portugal), trauma (Portugal), PA$TI, CommonSense Records (Mexico), Hyperfocus (Scotland), Muakk (Colombia), and TNR Media (Colombia), among others. 

He is also the co-founder of the Bogotá-based collective No.ID (No.Identity Records), a cultural community and label dedicated to the distribution, promotion, and production of electronic music.

EL MAMU es el proyecto artístico de Mateo Muñoz como productor, DJ y artista en vivo. Nacido en Bogotá, Colombia, tras una carrera profesional como pianista clásico, encontró la manera de reconstruir su carrera artística a través de la producción musical. Su live act fue el ganador absoluto del Concurso Clandestino 2023 organizado por Techsound, y posteriormente compartió escenario con reconocidos artistas internacionales como Lewis Fautzi, Alarico, DJ Pete, Truncate, Anne, entre otros.
La música de EL MAMU persigue siempre lo experimental en sus muchas facetas sin perder de vista lo clásico, fusionando cajas de ritmos con sonoridades y conceptos actuales. Su música ha sido publicada en sellos como Naked Lunch (Portugal), trau- ma (Portugal), PA$TI, CommonSense Records (México), Hyperfocus (Escocia), Muakk (Colombia) y TNR Media (Colombia), entre otros.
También es cofundador del colectivo bogotano No.ID (No.Identity Records), una comunidad cultural y sello dedicado a la distribución, promoción y producción de música electrónica.
